Historia
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Good but...
Revisado: 08-28-24
Overall I really enjoy listening to the series and this book wrapped some things up nicely, almost in a "they lived happily ever after" sense. As someone who appreciates a good story, which this was, I could have done without the graphic details of their "affection" over and over again. Even so, I am still going to buy another book.

Historia
The Indignities of Being a Woman candidly traces the history of womanhood and investigates how much things have really changed for womankind. By carefully x-raying areas such as body image, marriage, mental illness, fashion, and politics, this audiobook examines what it was like to be a woman in the past versus what it’s like now, when women are constantly told equality between the sexes exists but reality proves otherwise.

So much I never knew
Revisado: 11-17-20
Interesting facts, soooo many facts. I liked it but not a listen for a single read. Best digested in small doses. Congrats to the writers that researched and assembled all this information - well done!

Again and again...
Revisado: 06-25-19
I have listened to this book all the way through twice, and am going back for a third time. I am not sure what it is - maybe Susan is just so easy to relate to, and the people's stories are inspiring. I know I need to change my eating habits and giving up flour and sugar for 2 weeks made me feel great (no ankle or knee pain, lost 10 pounds, more energy) but then I went right back to my old ways of pizza, sandwiches, and cookies. I am a believer in what she says and it was great to hear someone speak truths backed up with scientific studies about our typical diet. I will try and try again, because I know she is right about so many things. I am not looking at food the same as I was before listening to her. She is an inspiration.

I'm not a Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac fan but I do like some of their music. This audio book gave me a greater appreciation for them and all the turmoil surrounding them. I think I will have to give their older stuff another listen.

Motivation while driving to work.
Revisado: 06-25-19
Maybe it is just me, but I love sports stories of great coaches... I'm not an athlete by any standard, but I do believe that there is much to be learned from people who have been able to encourage others to greatness in athletics. It is those same tactics that translate into business and other situations. Certainly the underlying message here is practice the basics, believe in yourself and be part of the team (whatever team that is). This is an excellent listen for your commute!
