Historia
At 28, Stephanie Land's dreams of attending a university and becoming a writer quickly dissolved when a summer fling turned into an unplanned pregnancy. Before long, she found herself a single mother, scraping by as a housekeeper to make ends meet. Maid is an emotionally raw, masterful account of Stephanie's years spent in service to upper-middle-class America as a "nameless ghost" who quietly shared in her clients' triumphs, tragedies, and deepest secrets.

Sorry to say I finished it.

I don’t know what surprised me more; that the narrator of the audiobook was, in fact, NOT a robot but a human being. Or, that a human being was capable of writing this selfish, oblivious memoir about their life.
Learning the author WAS the narrator for the audiobook made a lot of sense. What an odd human being with no sense of accountability or empathy for others. Just self pitying to the point you want to yell at her retelling of her life. Unfortunately, I did finish it as I sometimes get guilty pleasure out of being this annoyed with poor writing. I will have to agree with her ex as stated early on in the book, she has mental issues. Possibly a sociopath.

Historia
A raccoon bite on the arm doesn’t seem that serious, but it soon becomes a life-or-death medical crisis for Melissa Loomis. After days of treatment for recurring infection, it becomes obvious her arm must be amputated. Rewired is the inspirational, miraculous story of Dr. Ajay Seth’s revolutionary surgery that allows Melissa to not just move a prosthetic arm simply by thinking, but to actually feel with the prosthetic hand, just as she would with her natural arm. This resulted in what others have recognized as the world’s most advanced amputee.

An amazing medical story

I found this to be very heavy on god for a medical story. Very much enjoyed the medical aspects of the story, but the author kept returning to the intervention of god.
