I was very apprehensive at first. But the story developed well, tied up a number of previous thread and closed this chapter of the Cort Gentry Grey Man series, while setting up the next chapter. The usual action moved the story along quickly.

this is a somewhat family storyline common to the genre but it is an engaging and enjoyable story. much better polished than his first book, everything such as story, dialog, and narrator, all comes together.

I read the review for Cosby's second book in the NYTIMES and was drawn in but wanted to start with his first. so I overlooked many of those first time errors in judgement regarding descriptive phrases. overall very enjoyable and entertaining.

pablum . . . but in a good way.

this is a short story. short but effective. you must listen closely or you will lose your place in the story. I listened while on a daily walk and it was perfect for that. entertaining, sufficiently engaging, just the right length but you won't become burdened by it. it filled the time space, prompted my thought processes, and ended just before my walk did.

I laughed at the first lines. And continued laughing throughout. An engaging conversation about life choices and the implications. BTW I drive a Volvo xc70, a BMW, a Chevy truck and a Cobra convertible but I'm not an a**hole.
