This is THE weight-loss book
Revisado: 12-30-17
This book covers all bases. It is packed with info on weightloss and it's entertaining. I pulled one star because I was expecting the American Gangster, Uncle Chael to read his own book. Besides that huge let down it's a book that is worth the buy. I will probably by the hardcover and hand it out to friends.

Drawing on extensive research and interviews with renowned behavioral scientists, sexologists, psychologists, and everyday women, he forces us to reconsider long-held notions about female sexuality.

Can I get an answer?
Revisado: 01-31-14
This book was disappointing. I'm not sure how you can have a question as the title of your book and NOT answer the question!!!
I give the author credit as there was obviously a lot of research put into this book. I feel that the author goes off on tangents often and does not weave it all together very well.
There is hints at a few possible answers however there is no definitive answers. I Come out of the other side with more questions than answers.
There was potential for a great book but I cannot recommend this book.

Will Save Your Marriage
Revisado: 09-19-13
What did you love best about Hold Me Tight?
I bought this book YEARS ago, and never actually read it until now. When I started it I obviously wasn't in a place to hear it. After being married for some time, it hits home. This book along with What makes love last are two of the best relationship books on the market. If you are willing to put in the work, it will save your marriage.
Which book is better? I say buy both! If you can't and you can only buy one - look at your problems.
If you are getting stuck on the same arguements over and over, or there has been an affair, or you feel like you are going to try to do it on your own - I suggest What makes love last.
If you have decent communication, and you want a better relationship - this book is worth the buy.
Both are great books - and you wont be disappointing with either. There is a reason that both books are highly recommended by MFT (marriage family therapist) all over the world - worth the buy.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Me - it has helped my marriage
Which scene was your favorite?
All of it.
What did you learn from Hold Me Tight that you would use in your daily life?
Relationships are not always perfect - with work they can be better.

Is there a science to love? In this groundbreaking audiobook, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Amir Levine and psychologist Rachel S. F. Heller reveal how an understanding of attachment theory - the most advanced relationship science in existence today - can help us find and sustain love. Attachment theory forms the basis for many best-selling books on the parent/child relationship, but there has yet to be an accessible guide to what this fascinating science has to tell us about adult romantic relationships - until now.

Overall worth the read
Revisado: 09-19-13
If you could sum up Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How It Can Help You Find - And Keep - Love in three words, what would they be?
I enjoyed the book. It's very concise and has great insight. I would probably recommend this more for the single people over those in a long term relationship and/or married folks. For the LTR and married I would recommend Hold me Tight which references this book and others or What makes love last.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How It Can Help You Find - And Keep - Love?
Three types of people - you don't want to be the first two... work to be the third.
What about Walter Dixon’s performance did you like?
Enjoyable
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How It Can Help You Find - And Keep - Love?
Keeping an eye on my attachment style.
Any additional comments?
One thing bothered me - I feel like they didn't touch on the fact that people can 'change' attachment styles due to life changes (both positive and negative)

Revisado: 09-19-13
If you could sum up Not 'Just Friends' in three words, what would they be?

I highly recommend it.
What other book might you compare Not 'Just Friends' to and why?
What makes love last or Hold me tight - because all three are a must have for all marriages.
What does Laural Merlington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Very well read, it is a pleasure to listen too.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Not 'Just Friends'?
Understanding affairs from many angles in an insightful way.

Imagine, all of those dates, with so many hot girls that you didn't go on simply because you couldn't text right! Seriously, texting incorrectly can crush your chances with women permanently. I can't tell you how many women have vented to me their frustrations at what you are doing.

The world will be a better place
Revisado: 09-19-13
Would you listen to TextAppeal for Guys! again? Why?
If you read this book, the world will be a better place... How? Why?
Simple:
There are too many boring people in this world.
This book helps you to realize there is a better way - it's mainly about texting however there is some over all great tips to live your life - Overall some great advice and worth the read.
What did you like best about this story?
Actual useful scenarios and stories that can be put into action right now.
What about R. C. Bray’s performance did you like?
There are times when R.C. Bray is a little over the top, although it really feels like he enjoyed the opportunity to read this book.
A few of the lines are delivered a little too 'smug' and the laughter... hahaha.. (you'll know what I mean)
Overall still pleasant to listen to and worth the read.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Nope

I almost didn't publish Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It. I was terrified. Here I was, a CEO who'd fallen apart after his company failed, writing a book about how loving himself saved him. I thought I'd be a laughing stock and my career would be finished. But I stepped through the fears and shared my truth with the world. What happened next changed my life. The book went viral. Amazing people all over shared it online and on social media. They bought copies for friends and family. They wrote heartfelt reviews. For some, this book literally saved their lives.

Interesting book, if your willing to work
Revisado: 10-27-11
Bottom line:
If your willing to put in the work this book is going to push you in the right direction.
Any time a book starts off by saying it's not your 'average self help book' you know your in for an average self help book with re-hashed info. This started that way and quickly changed, this isn't a book that you can read and get a few ideas from. You have to be willing to put in some work and after that you will find yourself in a better place. I will admit there are a few spots I glazed over, but overall I was quite impressed with the delivery and structure along with the exercises included.
Well worth the read, I actually bought the hard copy for my wife to read (she doesn't like audiobooks lol)

Revisado: 10-27-11
Bottom line: this is a great book with REAL WORLD applications that can be used not just in negotiations but in ANY human interaction.
I wasn't sure about this book at first, but it had a lot of great reviews so I gave it a shot... I was first frustrated with the book because it would tease a lot of info or revisit points already covered and/or seemed 'obvious'.
Getting deeper in the book it started to make sense. A lot of the things this book covers seem pretty obvious but it works, I recently found this out:
I was having some major issues with a 'big bank' and they refused to reverse fees. After my wife spent over two days on the phone with them unsuccessful, I used some of the tactics in this book... took 15 minutes, and done -
I'm now looking at more opportunities to utilize this information. I've read at least 4 different books on negotiation and another 4 on persuasion along with my BA in psych etc; this is a great book with REAL WORLD applications that can be used not just in negotiations but in human interaction.
*You can read my many other reviews, I give my honest opinion of the books I get here - I would hope you do the same ;) Thanks for reading.
