The biggest problem with this book is the way it is narrated. The way she reads makes it feel like she's talking down to you. Her voice is condescending and her message seems to be that money is a frivolous thing that has no real consequence so to heck with it. Let go and let God! And that's about it.
There's a lot of toxic positivity in just assuming these are problems from your current misfortune that are easy to simply let go of because money comes, money goes. But they does not delve into the deep feelings of lack and fear that money brings up in all of us, but some a lot more. Some of the exercises are useful, but some are just not. I'm sorry, but I don't have the money right now to go buy a coconut, name it after one of my vices, and karate chop it in half. I can't afford to waste money on food I'm not going to eat! Too much privilege.

Magical and wonderful

Wonderful novel full of magic, myths and lore, and of course love. What else could you ask for?
The heroine was inspiring and real, and her journey was so fun to follow. I wish more heroines were built of such soul as she was. Her love story was touching.
So glad the novel was read by a native speaker - the performance was spectacular.
