Historia
When the Fault Breaks is a post apocalypse book predicated by the rupture of the Cascadia Fault. It is about the stories and lives of survivors of the Mega Quake in a world of chaos and mayhem. It is about one possible way some semblance of a normal life can happen. It is a mix of death and destruction, current social/political outlook, humor, and hope. Preppers, survivalists, and homesteaders will like the book because it has many ideas on how to live off grid in a rural or wilderness setting.

Selling women, Slavery absolute cringe inbreeding
Revisado: 05-16-22
Reads like a Jr high boy or old man going through a middle aged crises. It glosses over the earthquake, belittles the military, alt right brainwashing jabs about gun control. Another author doing the same lecture series on prepping etc with gun mini rants thrown in. A discombobulated mess, this needed to be heavily edited. Wasted a credit on this.
Oh Texas is fabulous has power on threw out the bad guys and I laughed out loud considering they couldn't keep the power in a normal winter storm. I am just no, that beyond fiction. Hilarious.
The narrator seems new to this started to improve 1/2 way through.
Would have been better to focus on the actual earthquake and weave in plots. Just a hard no on this,

Three billion people died the day the Veech appeared. Forced to reconcile with the world-shattering fact that humanity isn’t alone in the cosmos, the resulting war for the future of mankind shaped humanity’s destiny and challenged it to grapple with its place in the universe. For the men and women who survived Invasion Day and the devastating war that followed, their stories paint a picture of the everyday struggle and experiences of the regular folk who carved out a living at a time when the very future of our species was uncertain.

She sets off across the city, now slowly being taken over by an unknown alien lifeform, to her now deserted family home in West Wales.

Set in London, painful narration
Revisado: 11-05-19
Difficult to listen to ~ Set in London but...uses an American narrator. Not a good match. The narrator can not do an English accent. It is painful to listen to and enunciation is cut off, where you try to decipher what she meant. I am going to read this book instead of listening to it. Please pick an appropriate narrator for the story. I tried listening to the 2nd book to see if there was any improvement... she tries but... no... no... no... not fair to the narrator and not fair to the book a complete mismatch.

Historia
Stacy’s life is in free fall. She finds herself clutching a handgun, searching for a sign that tomorrow will be any better than today. Her cell phone rings, bringing an offer that may postpone her soul searching. The discovery of an airplane graveyard containing a dozen commercial airliners is shocking. When the salvage camera reveals them to be virtually undamaged under in the Indian Ocean, theories abound. Who put them there? How are they still in one piece? What reason could there be? Stacy is about to learn the answers to those questions, as well things she’d prefer to forget.

Great story
Revisado: 05-08-18
Great story,
The narration was well done ~ however, I felt this really needed a female narrator it would have been so much better with a sassy female voice.
Most of the story is from a female character ~ it is really, really offputting to have a male do a mostly female point of view book. Some lady that really knows how to deliver those wonderfully sarcastic comments as only a lady can.
I will be checking out more of the narrator's works on other books ~ for mostly male point of view characters.

Historia
The survivors have come to settle in the mountains of Wyoming, fighting day in and day out to establish a home for themselves in a near-empty world. Things are good at first; scavenging is a workable, short-term solution that seems to be providing all they need. But they know that it’s only a matter of time before the food runs out. They need to scramble to find a sustainable solution before the clock stops, and for a little handful of people up in the mountains, the odds don’t seem very favorable.

Love this series and Gibs *character crush*... :)
Revisado: 04-04-18
Ok.... so I finished the book this morning... loved it, Gibs has made me laugh like no other character guy. For a while he liked Irish redheads... hooray for me..... he has so many Gibisms that I just wrinkle my nose with a wince or cringe and just crack up laughing. This is straight up disaster survival fun. No political crap except that one time "democrat" was used in a sling of insults. However, it suited the character. The author saves us from lists of , well lists of descriptions of weapons... thank goodness.... although it can get slightly, just slightly weedy with how to build things but it is over quickly. Gibs descriptions will sure to bring out the 10 year old waiting to come out. Some unforgettable gems: *Turd Cutter *Poop Barbeque *Smells like a rhino ____hit in a moldy old sock *as* to mouth disease *telegraph a**hole wherever they go ~ this guy had it coming off of him in waves *Pissing in my ear Really a fun jaunt down survival lane with bullets!
