why go back in the Mitch Rapp timeline?

The reason for the 4 star rating. I was disappointed and a bit confused with the storyline until I figured out that this was a random mission pulled out and inserted out of sequence in the Mitch Rapp series.
With regards to this book.
1. the story was fine, good action and stayed true to the characters previously developed.
2. narration was good. it is always difficult to change narrators in a series.
3. the author should have added a note at the beginning to prepare the listener for the break in the series. We, the listener, listen to a series for not only the individual storyline but also the movement of the overarching storyline. This is a weird break in the series and it seems to be without purpose.

A Bit Disappointing

First, I love this series and its cast of characters!
But after waiting 6 months for a new story this one was disappointing and a bit flat. This type of storyline is usually incorporated into a bigger more interesting case...more complexity. Therefore, this story seemed slow and dragged out.

Love this series but don't like the political bias being woven in; almost quit listening 3 times. I listen to fiction to get away from the media and their bias. I don't want to pay money to be preached at.
