Great series for YA
Revisado: 11-18-23
Super short book - not sure why they couldn’t just put it at the end of another book.

Historia
Can Sloane and James survive the lies and secrets surrounding them, or will The Program claim them in the end? Find out in this sequel to The Program, which Publishers Weekly called "chilling and suspenseful". Sloane and James are on the run after barely surviving the suicide epidemic and The Program. But they’re not out of danger. Huge pieces of their memories are still missing, and although Sloane and James have found their way back to each other, The Program isn’t ready to let them go.

Love this series
Revisado: 11-18-23
The reader for these books does a great job, and is very easy to listen to. I would absolutely love it if they would take this serious and make them into movies. ;)

Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Amazing perspective and concept
Revisado: 06-07-23
I loved the concept of having a library with different books being variations of lives, you could have lived. There were times when the book felt repetitive. Otherwise it was a unique an interesting concept.

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Historia
Have you ever wondered "Why did I do that?" or "Why can't I just control my behavior?" Others may judge our reactions and think, "What's wrong with that person?" When questioning our emotions, it's easy to place the blame on ourselves; holding ourselves and those around us to an impossible standard. It's time we started asking a different question. Through deeply personal conversations, Oprah Winfrey and renowned brain and trauma expert Dr. Bruce Perry offer a groundbreaking and profound shift from asking “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”

Very easy to listen to because of the conversational format. Great for teachers, emergency responders, foster care workers, therapists, and more!

Slow start…overall good story
Revisado: 04-04-23
This story had a very slow start, and took me a while to get into what was happening. While I like the accent of the reader for the main character, it was a bit distracting when it came time to doing other characters voices especially the male characters. The story did have a good ending that allows it to connect to the next story fairly well. I do enjoy reading YA books because I am an elementary librarian, this book however was a very long story!

Voices
Revisado: 01-09-23
Some of the voice changes in chapters by the character point of view was distracting. Men trying to “sound” like a woman character did not work for me.
