Historia
In 1949, Ron Losee, a young Yale Medical School graduate, headed west with his wife and small daughter to begin the practice of medicine. They settled in Ennis, Montana, in a log cabin that also became their office and lab. Patients made themselves at home in the living room. One small bag held all their medical equipment. It was a proud moment when a patient first called Losee "Doc." His fee on that occasion was three dollars.

This man's name means healer
Revisado: 09-12-24
My heart spent an entire day with this wonderful man. He reminds me of my precious doc who has also loved his patients for 48 years. I wish this world had thousands more like him. I actually cried when this book ended. I wish it could have been twice as long. When he passed I'm sure the Lord welcomed him saying well done my child.

Historia
There are two things in this world I know to be true: I have terrible taste in men, and all alphas are jerks. You’d think my own pack kicking me out would’ve been a clue to stay away from alphas. Omegas are rare. We’re smaller, weaker, can’t usually get pregnant...all valid reasons for disowning your own family, right? But it only took one night for stupidly handsome Troy Miyu to make me forget all the reasons I should’ve known better. One night to start falling for him, to realize it wasn’t just amazing chemistry we shared, but a true mate bond.

Sooo good
Revisado: 07-28-24
I wish more of his books came in bundles but still worth it. Sexual scenes so tender and loving. Plots are so well done. Some authors are blessed in their craft. I am excited to listen to the next in series.

Historia
Trying to find some normalcy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Brian Murphy and his family are on a summer excursion in Cape Cod when his wife, Emma, comes down with concerning flu-like symptoms. But their leisurely return home to New York City quickly becomes a race to the local hospital as she suddenly begins seizing in the car. At the ICU, she is diagnosed with eastern equine encephalitis, a rare and highly lethal mosquito-borne viral disease seemingly caught during one of their evening cookouts.

Disappointed
Revisado: 08-19-21
The narrator was the best part of the book. I expected the typical Cook style novel and had anticipated it for months. It was a 12 hour rant about hospital costs. No who done it and no climax. Save your money and let Dr. Cook know that he can't disappoint us and expect us to come back for more.

Historia
When the body of 28-year-old social worker Kera Jacobsen shows up on Chief New York City Medical Examiner Laurie Montgomery's autopsy table, at first it appears she was the victim of a tragic yet routine drug overdose. But for Laurie and her new pathology resident, the brilliant but enigmatic Dr. Aria Nichols, little things aren't adding up. Kera's family and friends swear she never touched drugs. Administrators from the hospital where Kera worked are insisting the case be shrouded in silence. And although Kera was 10 weeks pregnant, nobody seems to know who the father was.

Same old Cook!
Revisado: 12-07-19
If you have read all of his books more than once you can predict what happens next. I did but I would never miss one. I pre-order and purchase in paper form. There is nothing like the feel and smell of a brand new Robin Cook! I hope he lives to be 100 and continues to write.

Flayed secret service
Revisado: 06-27-19
I have spent hundreds of hours on this subject. He has no true idea how hard and for how long the Secret Service worked. They were out the night before to find food. They had not eaten for 12 to 14 hours.

Historia
A bold memoir of medical experience and improvisational command in WWII. Major Marran's narrative of the war details the way he and the healers around him used their creative resourcefulness to repair broken lives, bodies, and careers, in worst circumstances, by improvising surgical setups, new to the field. As a member of the Third Army, led by General George S. Patton, Major Marran applied his medical skills at the Battle of the Bulge, Normandy, Buchenwald, starvation camps for downed British pilots and in meeting the Russians west of Prague.

Wish they had left well enough alone and not told me he became a drunk after his son died.
Revisado: 10-27-18
This gentleman medic had my admiration and respect for staying true to his wife in a war that would have excused his indiscretion. I really wish they would cut the last chapter with the daughter. It totally ruined it for me.
