Great performance

Always love to hear Marc Thompson narrate. This book was intriguing and a fresh story that included character’s perspectives that we don’t usually get to see. We get a look into the state of the order and council before the phantom menace and see the factors that are slowly eating at the order. Highly recommend.

Sucked me back into the series

I read the hunger games trilogy years ago while in high school. When I saw a prequel came out and saw enough on it to peak my interest, I decided to give it a listen. So glad I did. I love her writing and seeing from Snow’s perspective brings a different kind of narrative to this universe. I won’t give away too much though. Highly recommend.

Unexpectedly great

I went into this book with no expectations. To be honest I kept putting it off, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. This book stands so well on its own, creating a world and characters that you end up absolutely invested in their stories. Whether you’re cringing from the horrors they face or celebrating successes, you’ll completely get engrossed in the story.

Ignore the romance bashing

Although it took time to get used to the narrator and writing style, this was a good read! Especially for Fallen Order fans. It was great to catch up with the crew and what they’d been doing. Learning more about Merrin was nice as well. The inner monologue felts repetitive at times but overall the story came together at the end and felt like an earned conclusion.

Loving the High Republic Audiodramas

Loved it!

This is a must read. The narration is great especially since they have two narrators this time - Saskia as Leia and Marc as Han. At first I thought a story about Han and Leia’s honeymoon would be cheesy - but I was pleasantly surprised it was far from that. The writing captures the characters so well and getting a look into the SW world right after Return of the Jedi was very intriguing. Don’t want to spoil anything but I definitely recommend this book.
