Historia
The truth is neither plain nor simple. Sable, a reluctant thief from the slums, can feel truth when people speak. For years she’s been using that skill to try to break free from the vicious gang boss to whom she's indebted. Escape comes in the form of an odd set of companions: a dwarf running from the past, an actor with a magical, glowing tree, a too-helpful kobold, a playwright with a knack for getting stories out of people, and a man and woman with suspicious, magical powers. But Sable’s freedom is short lived.

Historia
The veil has been torn. The ancient dark has risen. Dark harmonies echo throughout the world. But the ancient Axioms of Light have been spoken once again. In the midst of the Dark’s swelling tide, Reign Kerr has emerged with the mythical power of the Ancients, a power she wielded to defeat the brutal Borathein invasion. Reign must now discover the keys to the Gates of Confluence if the world has any hope of salvation - a journey that will unearth heretical secrets and change her in ways she may not be strong enough to survive.

Love this series!
Revisado: 10-20-21
Once again Michael Kramer did not disappoint nor did Jacob Cooper. This is definitely in my top 5 favorite book series. Yes the characters and storyline can be complex at times but it always kept me engaged, entertained and wanting to hear more. I love this very unique world Jacob Cooper has created and I thoroughly enjoy getting lost in it. In this series there are a lot of characters to keep up with but they are diverse and each very interesting and all play such integral parts to the story itself. Like the previous books in this series Song of Night is very well written and I am ready for another... I can't wait to find out what happens next with Reign, Hedron and Arlethia. This series and this book ticks all the boxes for me. I am a fan. Well done!

Historia
An unknown, vicious enemy approaches in stealth from beyond the northern glaciers, a wasteland of ice that spans hundreds of miles. A clandestine brotherhood of assassins, held in check by the Light for millennia, seeks to break their maledictive shackles and unleash their bloodlust upon the world. Those that should stand with Arlethia clothe themselves in betrayal, desiring her secrets for themselves, leaving Arlethia to stand alone.

Loved this book!
Revisado: 08-06-21
I really loved this book. I fell in love with the characters. I think this books plot (although complicated) is brilliant. I did have a re-listen to the first couple of chapters when I started the book to make sure I had a full understanding of what was going on in the storyline but it was definitely well worth it. Once I got a few chapters in, I was literally swept away and found myself totally wrapped up in the story and very attached to the characters. This book ticked all the boxes for me and I cannot wait for the next one in the series to come out. I think Jacob Cooper did an amazing job and Michael Kramer's narration was incredible as usual. (When I go searching for a new read I usually start with typing Michael Kramer/Kate Reading into the search bar. That is how I found this gem.)
