Full of racial stereotypes

This book uses the word “exotic” to describe women of color. It’s full of bad stereotypes like the one black man being a rapper or the middle eastern father only wanting a son and not loving his daughter. Clearly this person thought they were being diverse by adding in these characters but this is not the way to diversify your book.

Excellent fantasy

The Dwarves is a fun spin on the traditional Lord of the Rings style fantasy. Focusing more on the race of dwarves who are usually given less focus, this book opens up a world of dwarven culture that’s fascinating, funny, and keeps you intrigued. At times it’s a bit cliche as fantasy goes, maybe a little formulaic, but there is definitely enough spin to it to make it its own unique adventure.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good adventure book with entertaining characters and unique takes on the traditional story.
