I didn’t know I needed to hear any of this

I have been dealing with a lot of micro aggressions in my current job but I’ve been overlooking it and gaslighting myself. This book really helped me be able to verbalize and pinpoint exactly how I feel, and how others have been treating me, and empower me to speak up and address how a coworker has been treating me. I wouldn’t have done it if I never listened to the book it is definitely a good read, especially for career women, especially women in the helping professions!!

The book was good but..

I love Britney and I love that she is out of her conservatorship from her dad but they way she described not knowing she could get her own lawyer, saying yes to stuff just to see her kids, etc. didn’t make sense. From early life to the time of the beginning of her conservatorship, my heart really went out to her, however during her conservatorship I couldn’t help but think at some point you have to take ownership for your part in things. The average person would buck back and say let’s go to court then instead of doing things to please by her being complacent in going to “treatments” for AA, drug treatment, and constant counseling/psychological treatment; but not needing it just to see her kids gave her father ammunition to keep the conservatorship. The average person let alone someone that is going out in the public can be forced in a 13 year conservatorship with getting a new lawyer, saying something on stage, calling 911 (earlier). I think she does have some mental health issues going on but not to the extent her family puts on. I wish she would have took more ownership and stood up for herself when it came to the man in her life.

Majority of the story was good

The first 75% of the book was good. I continued to wait for things to come together but it never did. It seemed like toward the end of the book it was rushed and the ending was not clear which was disappointing. The story had so much potential to be a good psychological ghost story.
