I recommend all adults read this series to ground themselves in how to be a thinking, feeling, joyous human being (aka “child”).

Plumb the depths of these books and be prepared to laugh and cry on cue. In other words, prepare to be amazed.

Where does Words of Radiance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

For me, along with The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance rates as good or better than The Game of Thrones or Joe Abercrombie's The First Law trilogy.

What other book might you compare Words of Radiance to and why?

I can think of none. It was an epic book completely in its own world.

What does Michael Kramer and Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Incredible readers that bring the characters alive. I have read and listened to both books in this series. In the audio version, the characters really come to life with these amazing readers.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No but lots of enjoyment.

Would you consider the audio edition of Fuzzy Nation to be better than the print version?

Haven't read the print version but the audio was great.

What other book might you compare Fuzzy Nation to and why?

The overall plot compares itself to the movie Avatar which portrays a corporation sacrificing an alien species to gain wealth.

What about Wil Wheaton and John Scalzi (Introduction) ’s performance did you like?

Wil Wheaton's performance was excellent.

Any additional comments?

A huge surprise was finding the original story, "Little Fuzzy" added at the end of Fuzzy Nation.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Only with a brief warning.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I think I need a Artemus Fowl story.

Which scene was your favorite?

The initial scene when he rescues a woman being raped.. only after she's being raped. His drowning scene was interesting but vague.. not sure how he covers his body with the eel.

Did Nothing to Lose inspire you to do anything?

Only to write this review as a warning.

Any additional comments?

I am a big fan of George Martin and Joe Abercrombie but Steve Vernon goes far beyond them to new heights, or lows, of dark, gory script.

Good book, but..

The ending didn't wind up the story very well. It was like the author was under a time constraint to finish the book instead of writing a better conclusion ..especially for all the characters. I enjoyed the trilogy very much. It just went 'kerplunk" at the end.
