Historia
In 1437, the Lancaster king Henry VI ascends the throne of England after years of semi-peaceful regency. Named "The Lamb," Henry is famed more for his gentle and pious nature than his father's famous battlefield exploits; already, his dependence on his closest men has stirred whispers of weakness at court. A secret truce negotiated with France to trade British territories for a royal bride - Margaret of Anjou - sparks revolts across English territory.

The story was good, I really liked it. The only thing was the story felt a bit rushed. I would still recommend this to Tudor fiction fans!!

absolutely loved it as I do all of Philippa Gregory‘s books. I absolutely adore hearing from the women point of view of that time many of them had to endure so much, but did so with such grace and strength. I am truly grateful for the times we live in now, but we should never forget that like other parts of the world, it could easily be taken away from us and we as women must stay the course

Highly recommended!!! This author’s talent for bringing people from history to life is truly amazing! I highly respect that she does not hide the flaws of her main characters, and shows the growth of their personalities over the years and life experiences.

Historia
They were the Boleyns, once one of England's most powerful family. Anne Boleyn captured the hand of Henry VIII, and now we see the rise and fall of their family fortunes through the eyes of the eldest Boleyn daughter, Mary. Mary Boleyn is overshadowed in history by her sister, Anne, but it was she who first caught the eye of Henry VIII, setting the stage for her family's dramatic rise to power - and ultimate fall from grace. Although Henry set her aside as his mistress, Mary still navigated the dangerous waters of the Tudor court while forging ahead to find a life.

Loved every minute of this book
Revisado: 03-05-23
I say here, now that this is one of the best fiction novels telling the story of Catherine queen of England. From the beautiful moments of her falling in love with Henry, to the sorrowful last blessings she bestowed upon him, I could not stop listening. Very well written, and very well narrated I highly recommend this book and this narrator.

Historia
Jane Seymour of Wiltshire is not meant to go to Court. Not a child like her, with her lack of beauty and no title. But family connections are enough to have her named to the bridal retinue of Mary Tudor. At the French Court, the plain and docile Jane meets the girl who will grow into her rival in years to come: the already charismatic and conniving Anne Boleyn. Soon back home in the English countryside, Jane wants nothing more than peace and quiet—and the devotion of her childhood protector, William Dormer.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves historical fiction during this time period. It is so nice to hear affection from the 15th century from the point of view of Henry the eighth’s wives. I love the detail and even the emotional dialogue I feel the narration was very well done and truly truly enjoyed this.
