Jodi Taylor outdid herself !

I didn't think a background story of 2 familiar characters could be so fun

Best New SF in years
Revisado: 01-08-23
An original concept well told. Reminiscenr of Ian Banks. There are first contact situations and the difficulty of understanding words while missing context. The slow understandings of the characters are realistic. And there is no gratuitous violence.

Pedantic Sophistry
Revisado: 05-06-19
This purports to be an enlightening story that will even increase your vocabulary. It is one story told by various characters all expressing the same story from the same vantage point. That is the first third f the novel. The next section tells of all the marvelous changes wrought by the protagonist, with no exposition of how these changes were wrought.
This might have been a good idea for a short story, but it is not a novel.
