Historia
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

Spectacular
Revisado: 01-27-24
This is the kind of long book where when I see there's more left, instead of my reaction being "ughh there's still so much more," it's, "Yes! There's still so much more!"
The story is so much fun! I listened at every possible moment because I felt like I had to keep going. And the narration is a true performance. Masterfully executed on all levels. My only disappointment is knowing that it will take time to make a 3rd book that's just as good, hahaha!

Historia
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

great book
Revisado: 03-13-22
I really enjoyed this book, the romance in it is sweet, and has great chemistry. it doesn't have any graphic sex scenes, which I appreciated. and I really loved the development of all the relationships in this book. :)
My only complaint is Phillipa Soo (love her!) doesn't have a different tone or voice for the main characters narrating/ inner thoughts vs out loud dialogue. it's not a huge thing, but that's what I could see making this book better.

Samantha is a professional seductress and con artist with a heart of gold. If she talked about her work, she’d tell you she only pilfers organs for medical research and that she only takes one kidney, and she only steals those kidneys from dishonest people. It’s hell on her social life. Abe is the doctor and Sam's partner in crime. He isn’t much of a criminal. Except for the kidney stealing. But he’s using that money to fund his research that he anticipates will be able to cure diabetes. So, all for a good cause...? You decide. Of course, it's hell on his social life.

This book was VERY good. I will now recommend it to anyone end everyone whip will listen to me. The narration on and voice acting was fun and engaging. And there was a good amount of music to set the scene. I thouroughly enjoyed every aspect. 10/10 would read/listen to again.

Historia
Even the Emperor of Sirlende cannot always do as he pleases, but when custom demands he find another bride after the death of his betrothed, a princess he barely knew, Torric Deveras defies his counselors and changes the rules rather than make a loveless marriage. Ashara Millende is the only daughter of a nobleman, but had her inheritance stolen from her by her unscrupulous stepmother. A servant in the house that should have been hers, she dreams of escaping the drudgery of her life and finding someone who will love her for who she truly is.

stilted narration
Revisado: 01-16-17
I liked the overall story, though I found it hard to believe the main couple was truly in love and not just lusting after one another. My biggest complaint was in the narration though; the narrator read a bit like a robot, halting in weird places, and sometimes even between syllables. It didn't have a good flow and the diologe between characters felt unnatural and stilted. I was disappointed, as I've listened to other things by this narrator, and she did much better in those books.
