did anyone else freak out at the mention of Tristan Miles and Claire Anderson?
amazing duet narration. CJ Bloom can do no wrong, and Sean Masters is starting to become a favorite (super picky about narrators).
story is great, hoping Deb and Mark have a story of their own. hopefully with the same narrators and duet narration😁

typically, angst-type stories are not my thing, mostly bc of the anxiety I get waiting for the resolution lol. but this story, as heartbreaking as it is, is so good. the characters are amazing. As far as the the audiobook goes, the only thing that would have made it better is Duet narration, but as I've heard from many accounts, it's a much bigger production to create duet narrated audiobooks.

on another note, i personally am SUPER picky about the audiobooks I choose. I pick them based on the male narrators, and I'm not fond of most of the options (my go to's are SebYork, Jason Clarke, TroyDuran, TedHamilton). but Austin Cole is a new addition to the list. He's fantastic. and CJ bloom is one of the best female narrators so it was a great performance overrall.

Great story. Great series. even greater narration. the whole series is awesome but the duet narration makes it a completely different experience. all of Elizabeth o roarke's work is amazing. I wish all authors of this genre produced duet narrated audiobooks!

Great retelling. This audiobook was worth the credit. I don't think I would've enjoyed it AS much if I had read the book. Initially, I thought the approach to the story was more of a voyeuristic trope but it turns out to be a why-choose trope (should've been obvious i know), which isn't really my thing, but the story telling was still great and enthralling. There are no stagnant parts and the deviation from the original plot to make it dark were exciting. Parts of t the story were so close to the Disney animation, that I honestly thought that Troy Duran was about to break out into song (the Gaston song). This was my first Violet Taylor book and it did not disappoint. It was very entertaining.
The narration... So duet narration that includes Troy Duran is always a blind-instant buy for me. He really can do no wrong in my book. His voice for the beast is exactly what you'd envision, and the same goes for Gabriel (Gaston). Both voices he used were assertively masculine and distinct from one another. Nobody could've done this better. Bridget Bordeaux: this was my first audiobook with her and she was amazing. I typically only listen to duet narrated audiobooks that include specific male narrators (SebYo, TroyDur, JClarke, ConnCrai, TeddHam) which I hadn't seen her paired with... but now I will be looking more into her work. She's super talented. Not whiny, not extra breathy.. Not annoying. The audio really did enhance the story telling.

wanted to like this. Lauren blakely is a great author but I found this story a but boring and I struggled to get through it. but, the narrators were amazing and Teddy Hamilton in duet narration is a blind buy for me. but unfortunately I found the story to be flat.

story was good. first half dragged a bit but 2nd half really drew you in. 5 star narrators and in duet style so you can't go wrong with Troy Duran. loved how this series is tied to the Queens and Monsters series (those audiobooks are stellar). you get to see Kilian and there a brief mention of one of my favorite characters of all time, Reina.

very slow burn with very little spice. BUT the story is incredible. the narrators did great. I don't know what the ordinal narrators sounded like. but duet narration with Sebastian York is a slam dunk and unbeatable.

troy duran for the win

as always, a duet-narrated audiobook with troy duran is always an instant purchase. the first book of the series was just as great, but troy duran PERFECTLY depicts the MMCs golden retriever vibe for this book. I laughed a lot throughout the book. he's still as psycho as the Lincoln, but in a different, funny way. hilarious.

loved the story, the characters and everything in between. true, the real "spice" isnt til the very end(if that's what you're lookong for), and the plot is a bit rushed towards the end but overral a great experience. but even more the discovery of this male narrator. I typically won't listen to audiobooks unless they're duet-narrated. hadn't heard this male narrator before. he has a similar gravelly, assertive alpha type voice as sebastian york. perfect for the role. hoping this narrator comes out with more duet-narrated audiobooks. wished he would've narrated the rest of the series. will be looking for more books by this author as well.
