Oooooooooh! I didn't see THAT coming!
Revisado: 05-16-19
Loooooved this storyline of precocious teens at a Manhattan prep school. Hits all the cliches of entitled rich kids a la Gossip Girl, but it's so much more. Performance is stellar and I'm now a huge Lee Bacon fan! Exceptional addition to the YA genre.

Bravo
Revisado: 01-04-19
Never a dull moment. If Ms. French ever offers a Masterclass, I'd kill to take it. There was a vague sense she was writing in an unfamiliar way, so to speak, but The Witch Elm is, by far, the most intricate tapestry she's ever woven. Never have I ever been disappointed with any of her books, and this is my absolute favorite. She's amazing.

Predictable, but Sweet.
Revisado: 12-12-18
It feels like I have read the story in different forms several times throughout my lifetime. I knew there were going to be a tragedy followed by a sweet resolution, and I was willing to give it a listen anyway. Though predictable, the story is sweet and engaging. The characters tended to be a bit one-dimensional call Mom the story really is worth a listen.

Amazing Travels Through Azeroth!
Revisado: 02-06-18
I am a HUGE Warcraft fan, especially of the lore explained by Golden and Knaak, and I found this title AMAZINGLY immersive. I was a bit hesitant in purchasing but so glad I did. Looking forward to the other installations of the storyline! Traveler was sooooooo good!

Historia
Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

Revisado: 06-06-17
This book was exactly what I needed to read to find a direction in marketing my two small businesses. Oftentimes knowing what to say and being able to craft how to become a daunting task for business owners who are getting their feet wet. Branding Basics serves as a knowledge friend in keeping a checklist for you and holding you accountable to the things that you need to get done for marketing purposes. Tips in the book help me by making me aware of the relevant questions I needed to ask myself about my business. The case studies were extremely helpful in seeing successful companies do the same. So few times am I truly happy with purchases I make in business related books, but this is a gem! The content, production, and narration make is a must have.

Boooooo... I expected far better.
Revisado: 10-29-13
Is it just me or is everyone writing their storylines in anticipation of a movie deal?
The trilogy was never EXCEPTIONAL; however, it was entertaining UP until this book. I had high hopes for this third installment. Though Tobias (Four) played a significant role in the last book (I didn't *like* the voice talent for Tobias), it was disappointing the author seemed to take the easy way out. By writing 'he said, she said - he does, she does' scenario for the main characters, the dialogue was stiff and too simple for seemingly noble characters. She'd done well in the first two books, and I anticipated it would improve. It didn't. I just wish the characters' actions weren't so boring and one dimensional.
The storyline did make a dramatic upturn with its heart-tugging ending. As painful as it was to commitment to the book in its entirety, I was saddened by the end. It wasn't a surprise 'a-ha' ending; nevertheless, it was the only instance in the entire third book the author really wrote a picture so clear, I cried... :(
Collectively, the story told throughout the trilogy could make a movie I'd be interested in seeing, but I'd rather see adaptations of stories to movies than reading screenplays in book form.
Boooooo... I expected far better, and am I really disappointed the author just didn't take better care of her characters. I really had high hopes for all of them.

Clever, clever story!
Revisado: 01-14-13
Refence point:
I have a 5 year old tolerance for gore and spook, as I still believe there ARE scary things that lurk in dark places! I did, however, download "Click-Clack the Rattlebag" for the charity contribution, and am so glad I did! This twelve minute masterpiece rattled my cage enough that I missed the ending the first time (ummm, told ya I'm a scare-dy cat!) and got the ending on the third listen. The production and author performance was equally excellent.
Loved it!
