Historia
As Martha Beck says in her book, “Integrity is the cure for psychological suffering. Period.” In The Way of Integrity, Beck presents a four-stage process that anyone can use to find integrity, and with it, a sense of purpose, emotional healing, and a life free of mental suffering. Much of what plagues us—people pleasing, staying in stale relationships, negative habits—all point to what happens when we are out of touch with what truly makes us feel whole.

Historia
While America is still reeling from the 2008 financial crisis, a high unemployment rate, and a surge in government debt, China's economy is the second largest in the world, and many predict it will surpass the United States' by 2020. President Obama called China's rise "a Sputnik moment" - will America seize this moment or continue to treat China as its scapegoat? Mainstream media and the U.S. government regularly target China as a threat. Rather than viewing China's power, influence, and contributions to the global economy in a negative light, Ann Lee asks, "What can America learn from its competition?"

Historia
Sleep is one of the most important but least understood aspects of our life, wellness, and longevity. Until very recently, science had no answer to the question of why we sleep, or what good it served, or why we suffer such devastating health consequences when we don't sleep. Compared to the other basic drives in life - eating, drinking, and reproducing - the purpose of sleep remained elusive.

Great character development. Excellent memoir.
Revisado: 11-02-19
In the first few chapters I wasn’t sure I wanted to listen to this book. I thought Sally was writing a book to get revenge on people that slighted her.
As Sally shared more of her life, I realized she was sharing a story of redemption, coming to terms with areas in the past that were an obstacle to having a good life.
Along with being a very good memoir, this book is a guide to being able to love yourself (even though this sounds sappy, it is true).
Sally, Congratulations and Thank You.

In the depths of the Great Recession, a cancer nurse, a car dealership worker, and an insurance fraud specialist helped uncover the largest consumer crime in American history - a scandal that implicated dozens of major executives on Wall Street. They called it foreclosure fraud: Millions of families were kicked out of their homes based on false evidence by mortgage companies that had no legal right to foreclose.

If it wasn't non-fiction - a great mystery novel
Revisado: 07-06-17
What made the experience of listening to Chain of Title the most enjoyable?
The sequence of events made it possible to build on my knowledge as the story unfolded.
What did you like best about this story?
The fact that some Americans won't give-in to the system!
Which scene was your favorite?
The ah-ha moment when they find robo-Signatures on documents and bogus bank names on forms.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The Sub-standard treatment of Americans during the Subprime Blowup.
Any additional comments?
Chain of title: how three ordinary Americans uncovered Wall Street's great foreclosure fraud – describe how Wall Street banks were using robo-signers as signature guarantees for legal documents that were in titling the banks to foreclose on homes. There are documented records of signature guarantees being on vacation/out of town and signing hundreds of documents. This legal documentation/proof allowed some people to prevent Banks from foreclosing.Unfortunately, the US government, is basically in bed with Wall Street bankers. I know this is a shocker to you!Still, if you look at the details in your documentation, you might find weaknesses and irregularities that will allow you to have a fighting chance to keep your home.

In business, the right behaviors matter. But getting it right is tricky. Even when we acknowledge the need to change what we do and how we do it, life has a habit of getting in the way, upsetting even the best-laid plans. And just how do we manage those situations that can provoke even the most rational among us into behaving in ways we would rather forget?

Barrier Breaking Actions
What was one of the most memorable moments of Triggers?
Discussion about how he utilizes accountability partners (he pays these people to keep track of his actions).
What does Marshall Goldsmith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He had a great voice and since he is one of the authors, he knew when to stress certain areas.
