Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

Loved this book!!!
Revisado: 09-13-22
There are always books about the not so good brother that turns out to be the shining knight but never do you hear of the sister.
Pride & Peejudice has always been one of my favorites. I've read the original book, I've read the new revised book, as well as listened to both, and of course I've watched both movies several times for all forms. And I have always wondered & wished I knew what happened to Lydia. Well, now I know. this book is funny & serious & everything in-between.
Great job Ms. Page!! You did an amazing job!!!

I knew there were a lot of people that were displaced after the war but I didn't realize the red paperwork & the lack that they had to deal with. Won't it be nice when that is no more.

At first I wasn’t sure I was going to like this one. I thought it was going to be like Murder On the Orient Express, but it surprised me. I loved how she was doing everything she could to save her brother even going after #%*># and in the end he……. Can’t wait to read the next ones in the series.

Amazing!!!
Revisado: 06-13-19
There was so much in this story about WW2 that I had never heard about before. I can’t believe that the government in Russia let it get so bad in Leningrad that people were actually resorting to canabilism. And it so surprised me that everyone was just going to give up on Russia because they had decided that they were a lost cause.
The detail & research that was put into this book was amazing and it will definitely be put on my read again list.

I was disappointed!!!
Revisado: 11-14-18
It was really quite slow. I kept waiting for something more to happen. For James to become free for her to make her case for freedom for the Indians or women or someone. It just ended. And she kept starting to rebel and then didn’t. Why not?
