Riveting memoir

The Author’s story in her own voice was powerful. She wove together the beautiful and complex threads of her life before her memories came back, allowing us to see ourselves in her striving and desperate desire for perfection and validation. The way she gave us a glimpse into her therapy sessions, her present day parenting experiences and her tenacious pursuit of freedom was a profound gift. Though no one’s path is the same, she is a guide for those who come after her in pursuit of their own healing.

The book’s storyline was amazing, and I was always excited to read more. Allison does a very good job at reading the book. It was 99.8% amazing,
Something to note: since this book was written about people in the 1930s, it should be taken into account that some of the terms they use would be unacceptable in society today. Through reading it I only heard one, the N word, but besides that, I don’t think there were other foul words.
It is a very exciting book, especially for me who does not enjoy intensity. I adore this series, and I hope that you will enjoy these novels as much as I have.

For anyone who loves sailing and adventure, Arthur Ransome's classic Swallows and Amazons series stands alone. Originally published in the UK over a half century ago, these books are still eagerly read by children, despite their length and their decidedly British protagonists.

A very pleasant book. Wonderful for people of all ages. It never gets old. BEST BOOK EVER. Very good literature and Allison Larkin does a great job. Once again, very pleasant and fun. I’ve gotten a British accent because I’ve listened to these books so much
