Historia
Lieutenant Saru is a Kelpien, a member of a prey species born on a world overrun by monstrous predators...and a being who very intimately understands the nature of fear. Challenged on all sides, he is determined to surpass his origins and succeed as a Starfleet officer aboard the U.S.S. Shenzhou. But when Saru breaks protocol in order to prove himself to his crewmates, what begins as a vital rescue mission to save a vessel in distress soon escalates out of control. Forced into a command role he may not be ready for, Saru is caught between his duty and two conflicting agendas.

A compelling story
Revisado: 12-30-19
This is a listen that you just can’t stop. It keeps you glued to it to find out what happens next. As usual, Petkoff does an amazing job on the narration.

Historia
The Fifty-Year Mission: The Next 25 Years: From the Next Generation to J. J. Abrams is an incisive, no-holds-barred oral history telling the story of post-Original Series Star Trek, told exclusively by the people who were there, in their own words - sharing the inside scoops they've never told before, unveiling the oftentimes shocking true story of the history of Star Trek, and chronicling the trials, tribulations, and tribbles that have remained deeply buried secrets until now.

A great ride!
Revisado: 05-12-18
Lots of interesting background stories. But it was clear some of the narrators were not familiar with Trek as they mispronounced the names of various characters. Overall it is well worth the time!

Where is Book 2?
Revisado: 11-26-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would not recommend it unless they are willing to not experience the Second of Three parts. What a disappointment. I loved the story, but I would not have bought it if I had realized that Part 2 was not available.
Any additional comments?
Come on Audible. Where is part 2?

Historia
Ensign Andrew Dahl has just been assigned to the Universal Union Capital Ship Intrepid, flagship of the Universal Union since the year 2456. Life couldn’t be better…until Andrew begins to pick up on the facts that (1) every Away Mission involves some kind of lethal confrontation with alien forces; (2) the ship’s captain, its chief science officer, and the handsome Lieutenant Kerensky always survive these confrontations; and (3) at least one low-ranked crew member is, sadly, always killed.

Interesting POV, but not for younger listeners
Revisado: 10-07-16
What made the experience of listening to Redshirts the most enjoyable?
The story was intriguing with many interesting plot twists.
Any additional comments?
It would have been more enjoyable without the profanity. Real people don't talk like that, especially professionals. As a result I could not recommend it to younger listeners, even though the story was great.

Historia
The original teleplay that became the classic Star Trek episode, with an expanded introductory essay by Harlan Ellison, The City on the Edge of Forever has been surrounded by controversy since the airing of an "eviscerated" version - which subsequently has been voted the most beloved episode in the series' history. In its original form, The City on the Edge of Forever won the 1966-67 Writers Guild of America Award for Best Teleplay. As aired, it won the 1967 Hugo Award.

Don't Waste Your Time
Revisado: 10-07-16
What would have made The City on the Edge of Forever better?
Less time listening to Mr Ellison drone on and on about how hard done by he was. The point was made in the first 15 minutes.
Would you ever listen to anything by Harlan Ellison again?
Yes, but only his written stories
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
The Actual Story Narration was excellent
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment in how much time was wasted going over the same old news.
Any additional comments?
Save yourself some time and skip to where the narration of the original script and revisions begin.

Historia
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, bestselling author, and failed Wheel of Fortune contestant Dave Barry has questions—lots of them—and sets out to find the answers. If you've ever wondered things such as, “Just how does Oprah have the power to turn a 1957 Hotpoint toaster manual into a #1 bestseller?” or “What makes people want to eat animals they would never consider petting?”, then this book is for you. Dave Barry proves that one man even in this incredibly complex global society using only his mind and the power of information can make a difference.
