Historia
Interstellar, from acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan, takes us on a fantastic voyage far beyond our solar system. Yet in The Science of Interstellar, Kip Thorne, the physicist who assisted Nolan on the scientific aspects of Interstellar, shows us that the movie's jaw-dropping events and stunning, never-before-attempted visuals are grounded in real science. Thorne shares his experiences working as the science adviser on the film and then moves on to the science itself.

It felt like most of the sections are "Speculation" and I never felt like those sections resolved to a point that left me satisfied.

It's not the one stop shop that people think it is

There is a lot of obvious stuff in here, but it's said in a way that makes the reader self-reflect often. That being said, this book feels like it is designed for neurotypical people.

Historia
While he's not quite a household name, most people would consider H. Jon Benjamin, the voice-actor star of Archer and Bob's Burgers (and a sentient can of mixed vegetables in 2015's Wet Hot American Summer) a comedy show business success. But he'd like to remind everyone that as great as success can be, failure is also an option. In a hilarious, self-deprecating memoir, Jon lays out some of his many failures in all areas of life, from Work ("wherein I'm unable to deliver a sizzling fajita") to Family ("wherein a trip to PF Chang's fractures a family").

I pictured Bob reading this to me
Revisado: 01-17-19
While I truly enjoy the works of H. Jon Benjamin, I was confused with this book. As expected, this is H. Jon Benjamin's adventures before his works in Archer and Bob's Burgers. Both are totally worth a watch. This collection of stories were fantastic and shockingly funny. At times, his humor goes a little further than I was expected and resulted in 30 seconds of dry, laughless humor, but the vast majority of the book was great. The last chapter is the best part of the whole book, but does not lessen the stories that precede. Worth Checking out!

Historia
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

Recycle of old material
Revisado: 01-17-19
Sadly this book is underwhelming for myself, yielding a rather sour taste in my mouth. As a credit to this book, the first... 30 minutes or so, were great! To the point that I had a VERY positive opinion as the stories he shared were quite well told, but outside the beginning, it's a recycled stand-up routine. Which is not all bad, but serves in stark difference of establishing stories. It was shockingly rough to get through. It also becomes apparent that the comedy is more important than substance to the point that there is a detraction from the stories. It's not a bad listen, but it is a little rough.

A collection of headlines.
Revisado: 10-05-18
This book is a collection of neat physics/mathematics, but you would get the same read if you picked up any math journal and read the title. Math is great and has some very cool implications, but the author fails to deliver on any sort of educational experience. In short, the book just does no deliver an engaging experience mathematically, especially since there is more physics than math present!
