Historia
All of us long to know what life after death will be like. Best-selling author John Burke is no exception. In Imagine Heaven, Burke compares over 100 gripping stories of near-death experiences (NDEs) to what Scripture says about our biggest questions of heaven: Will I be myself? Will I see friends and loved ones? What will heaven look like? What is God like? What will we do forever? What about children and pets?

The guy reading it did the voices of each person.
Revisado: 11-03-23
When the guy reading it attempted to do the voices of the people in the stories, THAT was hokey horrible. If he's gonna have a kid's voice, get a kid, same with the woman. more than anything the voices we SO distracting from the story. I don't know if I liked it or not.

Historia
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

The characters were 2 diminsional. The author, not unlike michael Crighten, has wonderful ideas. But I'd bet even she'd like to take another pass at this book.

Historia
In A Good Horse Is Never a Bad Color, Mark Rashid continues to share his talent for training horses through communication rather than force. Rashid uses humorous, feel-good stories to relate his techniques of teaching horses by examining their view of the world. This book is a must-have for compassionate horse trainers and owners. Tales of Arabs, appaloosas, and paints - mistrusted and mistreated because of their breed - will give listeners a new perspective on these breeds and others.

Historia
Blue Collar Comedy star Bill Engvall is just a guy. He's been one his whole life. He can't help it; he was born that way. And that makes him an expert on the subject. For the record, here's the official definition of a guy: a person who doesn't think before he speaks. He can't. He's not that deep. Because a guy has only three basic needs: eating, sleeping, and sex. That's it. Just a Guy chronicles a lifetime in pursuit of those needs.

Historia
Nearly everyone in the Western world is familiar with the stories in the book of Genesis. Its language is simple. Its powerful sentences are short. And its messages glisten with clarity. But is it possible that the understanding of the book of Genesis we've all grown up with isn't as complete as we'd like to believe? That its deceptively simple sentences and surface appearance hide from contemporary readers a purposeful and intricate structure designed to let its depth and detail and implication resonate with the readers and listeners of its own time?.

Historia
If it can happen in show business, it’s happened to Jon Cryer. Now he’s opening up for the first time and sharing his behind-the-scenes stories in a warmly endearing, sharply observed, and frankly funny look at life in Hollywood. In 1986, Jon Cryer won over America as Molly Ringwald’s loyal and lovable best friend, Duckie, in the cult classic Pretty in Pink in a role that set the tone for his three-decade-long career in Hollywood. He went on to establish himself as one of the most talented comedic actors in the business.

Better than reading the book
Revisado: 05-29-16
What made the experience of listening to So That Happened the most enjoyable?
Jon Cryer himself. PHUNNY!!! This is the funniest, because it's honest, book I've ever heard. I am so glad I listened rather than read it. I wouldn't have missed his delivery for anything. I hope he finds a way to keep us informed on all his Drama every year. He's great!! What a trip!
What did you like best about this story?
His honestly.
What does Jon Cryer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The emotion of how he really felt going through it all.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yeah, but I don't have that kind of time. I found myself wanting too though. I only listen when I drive and I hate to drive, I found myself saying, Cool, I get to drive and listen to Jon!
Any additional comments?
He's great. He needs some sort of award for this book, The book was as good as his Ducky!!!

An Amazing Amazing Amazing Book
Revisado: 07-12-14
Where does Considering the Horse rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I've read/listened to every Mark Rashid book on here and all I can say is, Mark.... write faster.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Considering the Horse?
Doc.... I went through that with Star, my old horse, but I had him put down, not shot. I did the same as Walter, feeding him, getting a Equine Dentist for him, anything I could think of. My Vet said I gave Star 5 years more than he ever thought I could and he was in great shape due to that, until his decline which took about a month. I had a hard time letting him go. But, I'll see him again when I get home and, we'll go for a ride.
What about Kevin Young’s performance did you like?
Kevin's read was as if he were Mark telling it, isn't that the best anyone can do. Kevin was invisible, which is how he should be. That is perfect to me.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think I answered that already.
Any additional comments?
Mark Rashid.... write faster. I was so excited to see this released, finally I had something to listen to when I'm mowing, fixing fences or driving to town. Now.... I have to find something to listen to. I will listen to anything you want to write, about horses.

Worst Health Book Ever
Revisado: 05-11-14
What would have made Natural Health, Natural Medicine better?
If he actually offered something other than the same stupid info you can get anywhere.
Has Natural Health, Natural Medicine turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, and I've read a book of his before. It was great, inciteful and helpful. These two are daylight and dark from each other.
How could the performance have been better?
Seriously monotone.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Serious disappointment in the lack of inciteful information.
Any additional comments?
I could have said what he said in this book and I'll save everyone time. He said, eat only vegetables and legumes, no seasonings and drink only water. Which is as stupid as it gets and the most boring way to eat ever, we weren't given all this food to eat like that. I will tell you a diet that will work. If God made it, eat it. He didn't make coke or margarine or pop tarts. He did make meat and fruit and vegetables and butter. If it had a life source, you absorb it's life source by eating it. If no life source, you get no life. This book is just stupid. There is so much more to what foods can do for you, he wasted a lot of time telling us not to eat anything with flavor. Fake food, fake body. Real food, real body. We are starving ourselves by eating things with no life source. We eat and eat and eat, yet we are starving to death, while weighing 200 pounds. Eat some food.
