I like how Joe doesn't seem like a know-it-all. He simply shares what he's learned. It's not way out guru stuff. They are simple steps that need to be followed through with. I have learned that I get a good foundation in my own thinking but I don't follow through. I will now! I listen to it over and over.

This book is written so eloquently, I plan on buying a printed copy just so I can take it all in again. The descriptions about Marine life now have meaning to me, which could have never happened without reading this book. Simply loved the honor upheld throughout. Makes an American feel even more patriotic to know the inside story.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Maybe. It seems like common sense to me to treat people with that "extra special something", but, I'm giving the book a chance to wow me.

What did you like best about this story?

The narrator was clear and the sections are lined up in a cohesive way.

Which scene was your favorite?

Not sure.

Who do you think would benefit most from listening to The Art of Selling to the Affluent?

20 somethings.

Any additional comments?

Yes, the author uses the word "affluent" way too much.(Paraphrased) "When dealing with affluent people, you must cater to their needs. The affluent pamper their pets as much as they do their kids, so remembering the things that are special to the affluent can result in repeat business." We get it.

Would you try another book from Innovative Language Learning and/or Alan La Rue and Lizy Stoliar ?

I probably would not go with Language Learning. In this "Level 5" offer from audible, the narrator talks for 12 straight minutes about the "program" and its benefits. In the last 6 minutes there are some samples of spoken Spanish, but there was so much background noise (e.g. city traffic, people, sports) that I could not grasp what was being said.

What could Innovative Language Learning have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Tone it down. Make the background noise - background.

What didn’t you like about Alan La Rue and Lizy Stoliar ’s performance?

In the sample, the man speaking was from Barcelona where the national language is Catalan - a mix of Spanish and French. Additionally, they have some pronunciation nuances that are different from Spanish such as the /th/ for "s".

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment.

Any additional comments?

No, I think I've vented enough.
