Historia
Why are atheists angry? Is it because they're selfish, joyless, lacking in meaning, and alienated from God? Or is it because they have legitimate reasons to be angry - and are ready to do something about it? Armed with passionate outrage, absurdist humor, and calm intelligence, popular blogger Greta Christina makes a powerful case for outspoken atheist activism, and explains the empathy and justice that drive it. This accessible, personal, down-to-earth book speaks not only to atheists, but also to believers who want to understand the so-called new atheism.

Great Book; Great Narration
Revisado: 07-01-21
I was pleasantly surprised to find that Greta was narrating her own book- I've watched many of the talks she's given and I love her speaking style. The book itself is one I can see myself listening to over and over, picking it up again when I'm faced with explaining to baffled family why I'm such an angry atheist.

Historia
On his popular science blog, Pharyngula, PZ Myers has entertained millions of fans with his infectious love of evolutionary science and his equally infectious disdain for creationism, biblical literalism, intelligent design theory, and other products of godly illogic. This funny and fearless book collects and expands on some of his most popular writings, giving the religious fanaticism of our times the gleeful disrespect it deserves by skewering the apocalyptic fantasies, magical thinking, hypocrisies, and pseudoscientific theories advanced by religious fundamentalists of all stripes.

Good addition to the paperback
Revisado: 09-22-19
My only nitpick is that there isn't a very clear break between each piece in a given chapter and not enough emphasis on the titles of each new piece. If I hadn't already read the paperback I would have been a little confused by that at times. Still, Aron Ra did a stellar job on narrating this gem of a book.

Historia
One moment, completely human and modern-day Carrie Morgan is crocheting in her living room. The next second, a peach alien claiming to be a Celestial Mates agent transports her and her dog 400 years into the future. He leaves her there to be discovered by her supposed fated mate - a blue-skinned cyborg general. The sly agent failed to mention a few things, like the fact humans and cyborgs are at war with each other!

Good book, bad narration
Revisado: 05-28-19
Read the whole series once before and noticed the audio copy was free so I decided to download it... I'm disappointed. The narrator's voice is almost monotone, the character voices are awful, the cadence and word emphasis are clumsy... It's like being back in junior high when a teacher pointed at an unwilling classmate to read out loud.
