Just WOW
Revisado: 12-10-18
There are not many books that captivate me like this one did. While I yearned for a different ending, listening to the epilogue 3 times helped me get over it and accept the authors choice of endings.

Historia
Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

It took a while before I began to truly enjoy.
Revisado: 06-01-16
it took a while to really get into the story and understand it. but once I did, I was hooked. It was slow-moving and very relaxing, many times falling asleep while listening I was glad I put a sleep timer on it. the slow transition from a grumpy old man until his death took many twists and turns and changes in his attitude, believes, and outlook on life. if you are reading this for the first time or listening to it be sure to give it a good effort before giving up you won't be sorry that you did.
