Historia
Introducing Wyoming's Sheriff Walt Longmire in this riveting novel from the New York Times best-selling author of Dry Bones, the first in the Longmire series, the basis for the hit Netflix original series Longmire. Johnson draws on his deep attachment to the American West to produce a literary mystery of stunning authenticity, full of memorable characters.

George conveys Linley's moods and feelings extremely well. We can really feel how devastated he is over the loss of Helen and the baby.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Learning about the level of interest in surfing in this area of England
Which scene was your favorite?
Haven't completed the book yet, I'm not sure.
Could you see Careless in Red being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I would like to see the PBS series continued.

Interesting and exciting, but puzzling
Revisado: 06-25-03
This story about a return to Viet Nam brought back a lot of memories from my own past. The 68 Tet Offensive holds memories for me not too different from the ones held by Paul Briner. The story moves too slowly at times but when there is action, no one does it better than DeMille. Leaving us to contiue to wonder about the motives of other characters is also a nice touch. I would recommend the book to those who think they might like to learn a little more about viet Nam from a "grunts" point of view. I especially enjoyed the parts that revealed that things weren't so different for the "opposition" foot soldier.
