Lover of the Game since 2013
Revisado: 01-25-23
I have loved his game wholeheartedly since it’s release in 2013 and I was nervous but excited about the TV show. I’m impressed to say the least. So far episode two was released this week and I’ve listened to both podcasts. The podcasts are for people who played the game and have questions about how and why some things were changed for the tv show. It shed a lot of light on who is directing and why they directed things the way they did. The podcast is very informative and I will continue to listen each week. This is an exciting year for The Last Of Us fans!!!!!

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Why is Audible not doing something about this??
Revisado: 03-29-19
This book is utterly amazing George R. R. Martin is a genius; however, the narration by Roy Dotrice is horrible. You cannot miss the errors because there are so many it’s ridiculous! Like the other reviews state, he says Jeffrey instead of Joffrey, he says Brian instead of Brandon, he reads a lot of the words incorrect and it is not just the names. I don’t understand why AUDIBLE would allow the narrator to ruin this epic book, or should I say, set of books. He is inconsistent with the voices he uses for each character and as other reviews have said, he makes little girls sound like 90-year-old men. This is so distracting to the story that sometimes I have to go back and listen to parts over and over again. Didn’t Audible check this recording for errors first?? Give me a chance, I will properly narrate the book, word for word and correct my mistakes. The narrator of the story Roy Dotrice is so bad that I might not even purchase and listen to the remaining Game of Thrones books from Audible.
