Nice Story
Revisado: 10-21-21
This series is a great interwoven story of 3 gay individuals’ coming of age stories. Very good, especially when you consider that it predates the popularity of this genre by a few years. One interesting gripe, and I don’t know if this slipped past the editors in the actual print copy or was merely a slip of the narrator’s tongue, is that I’ve heard a few different instances of characters accidentally being referred to by other characters’ names.

Cute, but...
Revisado: 02-10-21
Fan of the author, the series, etc. Had high hopes for this book, and while it was ultimately nice, I don't think it translated terribly well to audiobook. Why? Because while I could live with the fact that it was less than 3 hours long (it's a novella after all), I seriously think half that time was spent reading aloud the same email addresses over and over...and over...and over...and over. I was gobsmacked at just how much time was dedicated to reading those email addresses it was like some sort of parody.

What on earth?
Revisado: 02-10-21
So little character depth or development. So little explanation of things that should be explain or addressing of things that should be addressed. This book seemed like the sort of thing I’d love to devour, but it turned out not to be palatable.

Was not ready for the punch this story packs
Revisado: 06-13-20
At first this just seemed to be a cute, sweet, unrealistically positive love story. It takes a bit for things to move along, but it’s well worth the wait. Relatable characters you can root for, powerful emotions, and important messages: all here, all wonderfully told and beautifully read. I look forward to more books from Mr. van Whye, and I’m glad this one popped up in my recommended list.
