Historia
Lucinda Williams’s rise to fame was anything but easy. Raised in a working-class family in the Deep South, she moved from town to town each time her father—a poet, a textbook salesman, a professor, a lover of parties—got a new job, totaling twelve different places by the time she was eighteen. Her mother suffered from severe mental illness and was in and out of hospitals. And when Williams was about a year old, she had to have an emergency tracheotomy—an inauspicious start for a singing career. But she was also born a fighter, and she would develop a voice that has captivated millions.

Fan of the music, not this book though

I found this book and presentation, very tedious, and truly just wanted it to end. Maybe just me because the reviews otherwise are very good.

Historia
Mom loved adages, quotes, slogans. There were always little reminders pasted on the kitchen wall. For example, the word THINK. I found THINK thumbtacked on a bulletin board in her darkroom. I saw it Scotch-taped on a pencil box she’d collaged. I even found a pamphlet titled THINK on her bedside table. Mom liked to THINK.

Meh.
Revisado: 02-11-23
I find her self depreciating speak seems somewhat inauthentic given how her stories always seem to be about even when supposedly about others. I also find her over the top flattery and romantic rose colored glasses view of Woody Allen a bit nauseating.

Basic and a little boring
Revisado: 04-03-19
If you are looking for very basic information, this is your book. If you are looking for something more cerebral or challenging, you may wish to continue your search. Wild this is certainly worthwhile information with accurate time-proven strategies, there is nothing new here.
