Historia
Joe the Ritualist and the town of Novusheim have survived their first major battle, at the cost of leaving most of the settlement a smoking crater. Only most of it. The core of the town survived, and permanent casualties were low. Now that the survivors have a better understanding of what to expect, they go on a reconstruction spree...but why stop there? Every inch of their upgraded defenses will be more potent, durable, and deadlier than ever before.

Another excellent Series Addition
Revisado: 11-10-23
I always love how he works the title of the book into the dialogue at least once. But in this book he did it allot. It must have been mentioned close to a dozen times.
I also love all the references even the ones I don't know but am certain have to be a reference.
I just wish the artorians archive series was this enjoyable.

Lost the Plot
Revisado: 06-15-23
First of all, let me say, this book isn't really as bad as my review would indicate. But i am hoping the author will look at it.
This series has been growing increasingly confusions and i have listened to every book (except this one) atleast twice. Characters keep changing their names, their forms, their ages, and the voices keep changing too. I think the main character has had 4 or 5 different voices throughout this series.
And now, i am not even sure what the plot is anymore. In the beginning we were saving the children of the fringe, then saving the world, then adjusting to life in Cal. and so on and so forth but now I don't even know what is trying to be achieved...I normally listen to an audio book non stop until its done even staying up late at night to finish it. But this one I started over a week ago and have not even gotten through half of it. It is just so painful to listen to. When i don't understand what is even happening any more the words being spoken become dribble.
I normally hate it when anime have episodes just to summarize what happened in the last 6 episodes but i really need a book just to summarize this series and put things back into perspective.
I want to listen to this series because it is part of a Universe of connected series but if things don't change i am not going to buy future books. I really hope the author can get back on track because this is starting to feel like filler instead of content.

Historia
The aggressive invaders from another galaxy cannot be stopped. The Composite keeps capturing system after system wiping out everything in its path, and there is no sign of a force capable of standing up to it. In the search for allies, Gnat embarks on a long journey aimed at uniting the various branches of the human race. And though the potential for alliance is there, how can he convince them to set off to fight a suicidal war with such a disastrous balance of forces?

NEVER BEFORE!
Revisado: 06-04-22
I have been a follower of this series for a while now. I am used to cliff hangers and really we all should be since that is the MO of the entertainment industry. But NEVER BEFORE have I been this excited for the next book in the series. Someone not familiar with the author would probably think that Gnat had himself a Royal Flush. But i know the author. While Gnats new acquisition might be a powerful game changer and might make him a force to be reckoned with. I am sure things won't go that smoothly.

please bring a book two. This story was compelling and great. the main character wasn't OP so he had to be smart to survive and survive he did. Plus, every nerd wishes he could get stuck in a game like this one.

I love when authors drop references to other book series or animes i enjoy. Some times they even drop references to their other series based in the same universe. Those are great :D...
But my favorite reference in this book is the one to Saitama's training plan. See if you can find it too :P

Disappointing Narrator
Revisado: 05-13-21
As a general rule i don't like it when a story changes narrrators... i have been looking forward to this squeal for years and when i started playing it i immediately knew the narrator was different. A quick look at the audible page confirmed what i already knew to be true. I normally get over this but in this case the narrator chosen is very poor at his job. To top it all off the editing is amateurish at best.
TO THE AUTHOR: Did you listen to this before uploading it? The First book was so good and we waited so long for this one, Why would you do this to us?

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

This book makes me Sad!
Revisado: 09-30-20
The five stars is not a mistake...The book was a good well considered story...But it makes me sad that the Bobiverse has fractured so much...More than that, it makes me sad that the Humans are so STUPID!....Every human in existence owes there existence to the bobiverse....additionally, when a small group of humans killed Homer the bobiverse didn't takes its wrath out on every Human but Humans lose there cellphones and a few factories and they want to blame every Bob....IDIOTS!

Basic Math Fail
Revisado: 07-24-20
I loved the book. but i have to critique the basic math fail. Warning a few minor spoilers coming...
According to arthur, When you kill another player you get half their lives. When clyde killed insideous he got a little over 500 lives. according to clyde he was killed about 20 times. so if we assume that he had only 1 life left and back track from there he would have needed over 500,000 lives to still be alive after dying 20 times to another player. Additionally, Insideous would have had to give him atleast 250,000 lives not 500 something. Even if Clyde had only been killed 10 times the math, while possible, is still very dubious.

I Understand
Revisado: 06-04-20
Warning, This review contains minor spoilers.
When this book first released in paper form, some of the first reviews were negative. The main complaint was how long the book was considering how short a period of time was covered. I now understand those complaints. The book doesn't even cover the 7 day time period needed to free him from the curse of eternal servitude that was placed on him near the end of book 7.
The character has undergone major development in this book, but that development was explained in staggering detail. I feel as though it could have been cut back at least a little. At the end of book 7 the imp from book 1 came to collect on the favor he was owed. I remember thinking how badly i wanted to know what he wanted. In the end i think it took close to 6 hours to find out.
Then there were allot of things that were just filler like the more than 5 minutes spent talking about diarrhea. The commentary was funny at first but then just went on and on.
Before the book was over he gained several new significant quests. He already has so many open items on his agenda i can't even keep track of them all. I mean how many dooms day things are working against him right now. More than he is aware of that is for sure.
The worst thing in my opinion is that his familiar has "Evolved" but we don't know what the heck that means except that she is apparently a little bigger and her voice is deeper....The change in voice is going to irritate me if it remains. It belies her intelligence.
Honestly it was a good book overall and i would probably have been less irritated about it if we hadn't have waited 2 years for it.
