Good content. Terrible writing.

The premise and research is fine but it's like listening to a never ending lecture by Ben Stein. I started using WOOP myself with great success and am teaching my kids as well.

I don't think I've ever heard a worse narrator. I must be a masochist because this was 3 hours of torture. He sounds like Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Maybe I can talk my ex-husband into listening to it while he's driving thereby falling asleep at the wheel and going over a cliff.

I'm not sure why this was so highly reviewed. The story was okay with lots of plot twist that kept you guessing until the end. (Almost too many in my opinion.) The biggest issue I had was all the extraneous information. One example that comes to mind is a single sentence telling us that the fire chief had called in sick. He wasn't a character in the book. Neither was his replacement or any other person in the fire department. It was vastly annoying. Plus, I have no desire to keep track of the personal lives of that many people. It was like turning on a long running soap opera for the first time. Very confusing.

Roth has stated that the series was always supposed to end this way. It seemed as though the first two books had gone so far off in a different direction that she was trying to shove it back to fit the ending she had wanted. Instead, she should have let this book develop more organically and allowed her vision to change. Maybe if she had given herself more than the allotted three books she could have made the ending work. Maybe.

Personally, I didn't mind the narration. I agree that Stanford is too soft spoken for the part. I enjoyed listening to him but he just didn't fit the character. Emma Galvin was wonderful as Tris.

Not sure why this was so well reviewed. The narrator is fine but the characters are insipid. At least the grammar isn't terrible.

I've read many business books but this one beats all of them hands down. My new mantra is "What would Norm do?"
