Historia
You don't have to be a computer scientist to have discerning conversations about artificial intelligence and technology. We all wonder where we're headed. Even now, technological innovations and machine learning have a daily impact on our lives, and many of us see good reasons to dread the future. Are we doomed to the surveillance society imagined in George Orwell's 1984? Mathematician and philosopher John Lennox believes that there are credible responses to the daunting questions that AI poses.

Historia
For years, Christians have been asking, "If you died tonight, do you know where you would go?" It turns out that many believers have been giving the wrong answer. It is not heaven. Wright outlines the present confusion about a Christian's future hope and shows how it is deeply intertwined with how we live today. Wright asserts that Christianity's most distinctive idea is bodily resurrection, and provides a magisterial defense for a literal resurrection of Jesus. Wright then explores our expectation of "new heavens and a new earth".

Historia
In 1985, Anthony Ray Hinton was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder in Alabama. Stunned, confused, and only 29 years old, Hinton knew that it was a case of mistaken identity and believed that the truth would prove his innocence and ultimately set him free. But with an incompetent defense attorney and a different system of justice for a poor black man in the South, Hinton was sentenced to death by electrocution. He spent his first three years on Death Row at Holman State Prison in despairing silence.

A beautiful sequel to The Bookwoman of Troublesome Creek. Both books left me thankful for the courage and strength of women in the early 1900’s. Beautifully written, I was transported to another place and time with its own struggles and victories.

Every person is different, so it makes sense that no two encounters with Jesus are the same. Even so, many of the feelings and unswerving devotion that Rifqa so beautifully described, I have experienced as well. I have been a Christian for 58 years. What a wonderful, exciting life! Tedious
Revisado: 10-15-21
The journalistic writing style, though credible, read like a stack of newspaper clippings. Overlapping and repeated information was not always in chronological order complicating the flow. The epilogue redeemed the book’s value.
