Everyone already knows the story so it doesn’t need to be mentioned but the music, the performance by the voice actors, and everything in between was so well-done it can get you listening to it time and again.

Excellent Performance, Cute Story

All the VA did such a great job that it felt like watching a movie but with the added benefit of imagination. The story was short and straight to the point that it’s perfect.

Battle Hymn of A Jingoistic Neocon Still in 19thC.

This book came out in 2016, so a considerable amount of the information in this book is already outdated as of this writing. The US has changed quite a bit ever since the pandemic, and so has the rest of the world. The analysis of other countries and the geopolitical alliances is simple naivete, and the orientalist attitude that the author has toward Asia is mind-blowingly archaic. This is not to mention how much the author displayed American Exceptionalist fervor throughout the chapters is pretty laughable, considering how hard it is to implement a small change in the country (i.e. building a single transit line downtown without squandering the public funds) but somehow still thinks that it's the other countries that are stagnant and unchanging. He would make you believe the leaders of other countries are simply stupid and incompetent and got to where they're through divine rights and not through wits and would not be able to successfully enact reforms.

Most of the information outlined here for the "analysis" is not anything new; they're simply regurgitated propaganda talking points you can find on any mainstream news outlet like Fox News & CNN. If anyone came here hoping to learn more about global Realpolitik and what it means for the regular citizens of this country, they would be sorely disappointed. Judging by some of the reviews though, the humdrum of the book is working wonders as intended.

Sorry, Mr. Cohen. We neither could not have won the Korean War nor could we have pushed back and fought the PLA in their own territories that border the Soviet Union, no matter how much you try to wave the wand for an alternate reality. Also, no. Clausewitz is not a superior military strategist than Sunzi.

A good book ruined by the narrator

5 minutes in and the tone of the narrator is jarring and headache inducing. Perhaps it’s the accent that makes listening to this book intolerable.

A gem of an articulate lecture

Was looking for the history and philosophy of architecture and came out with learning about a breadth of topics on not just architecture but also on urban planning and ultimately what it means to be a human living in a urban society. Even ended up buying a book written by Prof. Westfall to learn more about the subject.

Lovely Story, Good narration

The book is a very basic introduction to Daoism, one that can be taught to children and they would understand. Never got boring while listening to it.

Performance good, story great, but the beginning of the 2nd part of the book was repeating from other parts of the book. Either Audible needs to fix it or the author does

Pompous female MC; Pathetic male MC

Listened until 2/3 in but couldn’t finish anymore because of how annoying and unnecessarily aggressive the female MC is. The story is not only boring but the 1/3 of each 2 minute clips is just corny music

Cute Story; Great Acting

I was listening to the whole story the whole time and couldn’t stop the book. It was wholesome, awesome and the chemistry was great.

Now need to find more romantic stories to listen

Swearing sidelines the story

Typically don’t care about authors swearing and personally think that they can enhance the storytelling but holy hell! half of this less than 4hrs book is just the author swearing. Couldn’t last through more than an hour since it took a minute to say something that can be said in 15 seconds but only because of cussing every other words.
