Basically what happens when the protagonist of an isiki novel gets born as a teenager without a system. Think less about epic power and more about every day living in a small village. Steady power increases without any amazing cheat skills or epic classes. If I had to say something negative then the worst I can think of is the Mc can be a bit of a passive aggressive and moody teen.

Great series fale

The first two books of the series were pretty good but thos last book just went completely wrong. The first two books were all about building a community and getting stronger though struggle. This book is almost completely placed in a featureless wastland with no contact with any of the characters from previous books. SPOILER: It ends with them commin back to find everyone dead (not even explaining anything expect a bad guy killed them) then the author kills one of the three main characters and has the second basically walk into the distance never to be seen again. That would all have been a wasted book by itself exept the MC then wins the big boss fight by himself with a cheat power he could have used without the endless training mintage that this book was. Take my advice and just pretend the second book was the end.

Fun idea but not the best execution

The books are good but not amazing. Only thing really worth noting is the narrato, very British and not great at narrating. The narrator seems to mostly switch between chain smoker femail and educated British with noting in between. The biggest issue I had which made it hard to listen too is the frequent errors in reading such as mixing up names or reading the wrong words.

One of my favorit takes on dungeon core yet! Why sit and wait for the he4oes when you can walk up and step on them. Also zekes voice is even better on a mimic.

Great first book

Exelent start to a series with a likable MC and interesting system. The title is a bit misleading and the description could be a bit better but the book still ended up being intertaining. Some reviews complains about the murder hobo actions of the MC but as a dungeon master of dozens of groups over the years i can say its not that bad. people complain about stories were the MC actis like a psychopath but when given a character in a game they spend half the time uustify8ng why they killed that guard and robbed that store. LITRPG ( literary role playing game ) is basically just a dnd or other similar game in book form so if you don't want to read murder hobo your probably going to be disappointed a lot. Looking forward to book 2.

amazing character

The character is amazing and the voice actor really brought her to life. I loved all the detail and how much each day felt like it was actually thought out instead if just skimmed over wvery single time. Any book that pays attention to the little details is apriciated.

This series of one of the more interesting ones iv read in a while. I truly cannot wait for the next book. The book scratched that itch progression and town builidng while still being fresh and diffrent. My only worry is the story seems to have progressed so far in one book I'm afraid I won't get many more to come.

This is an amazing story which I have been eagerly awaiting. I was disappointed by nothing other than that it was much shorter than I had expected. Still, a little gold is better than nothing.

amazing slice of life with litrpg elements

This series jumps around a bit and actually covered many diffrent scharacters but each story ties in to the others in a way that makes a truly deep world.

a great story ruined by a few bad choices

This book has a fairly standard story concept but pulled it off fairly well, and the voice actor is one of the better ones for the litrpg genre. Having said that, the author really hurt the book by filling it with unpleasant and even downright iritateing side characters. The axe gets better about half way through but frank is stillannoying. House is likewise better further in the story when she gets sort of funny but early on she is pretty dumb. Cline is what really made it hard to push through and get to the better , later, chapters. Cline is basically an ass from moment one despite Ned spending a huge sum of money and generating tons of publicity for the game. It feels like Cline is a dick and for no other reason than the author needed a driving BBEG but didn't take any time to make him feel real.

I like the book and will listen to the second book but I am hopeing the author makes more of an effort to smooth his characters out. writing is hard and I applaud him for how well the book is overall but frank and Cline actually irritated me the listener.
