Great book and tour through the Holy Land!

Interesting perspective

To have an image in the mind of the landscape where Jesus lived and ministered really helped me to better understand and engage more deeply with the gospels. Mr. Senior is a very knowledgeable guide both to the physical environs as well as their historical and cultural significance. As a quick and simple Google search will reveal, the author is indeed a Catholic priest, so if that bothers you, then obviously this is probably not a book for you. I am a Lutheran and I see nothing particularly Catholic about these lectures as he focuses on archaeology, cultural anthropology/geography, history etc. Indeed, there is little explicitly religious content at all, and I imagine even interested non-Christians could listen and learn a lot from this well-made and informative course.
