The author just beats the details to death and the storie never moves toward. I couldn’t finish the book it was so drawn out with pointless details. I will be returning this book. Just awful.

If you like Irvine Welsh books these podcast are a great listen. I liked the back and forth with the two narrators. Hoping they do the an episode on the rest of his books.

This is Jeff Menapaces worst book in my opinion. Compared to his other books it’s slow, dull, and flat out boring. You could cut 80 percent of the dialog and still follow the story line. Full of one liners and terrible back and forth between the characters. Absolutely awful, he must have been paid in advance. Jeff, find some new characters and a new story line. Trash.

this book has nothing to do with dark psychology techniques. it is basically a 10 definition of dark psycology for the authors point of view. how did it get published? horrible narration, guy has a stutter. this should be removed from audible for false advertisemrnt

The main character is ridiculous. constantly crying about love and shame. always circling back to the life he left behind after escaping jail, the friends and family he will never see again, boo hoo hoo. the author uses painful over description and tireless scene setting. 3/4 of this book is description, scene setting and the main character going over the same 5 thoughts. the first 20 chapters were good, but then the story just stops and then nothing interesting happens. the main character is supposed to be so smart and clever but can't figure out which foreign woman IN INDIA set him up. the story is so impractical and it was very annoying to deal with the slow development of this story. if it wasn't for my ability to skip all the dull monologues I would not have made it through half of this audio book. i wish there was a abridged version of this book that just left out all the repetative parts. great narration though.

I enjoyed this story, never heard anything quite like it. the characters are great, and the narration is well done. the story moves quickly and is easy to get lost in. excellent authentic dark humor. if you are boring or unimaginative, then this isn't a book for you.

Lots of painful over description, and never ending scene setting. there are entire chapters where nothing happens, just the main character questioning the meaning of life. at least 6 chapters are dedicated to this. luckily the audio book is set up so you can just skip the entire chapter and not miss any of the actual story. I listened to the book in about 2 hours. I skipped all the self analysis the main character does and all the drawn out sex scenes, there is a lot of that, and I enjoyed the result. if you like fast paced crime thrillers without all the nonsense, try it for yourself.

The story moved along quickly, for the most part. it was easy to skip the hour and a half where the main character replays past events and self analyses her situation. the author did not linger or go into any graphic detail in regards to the obscene nature of the situations in the book. so, no time wasted on that. over all it was a good suspense, dark thriller book and narrated in an English accent which was nice because that is where the book is set.

What a long, drawn out boring story. it's more of a history book on the Jewish Religion and it's various forms, not a mystery, thriller, suspense book. Just painful to listen to the author set the seen in so much pointless detail, for every single setting. nothing actually happens with the plot, just a bunch of talking, and introspective monologues that lead no where. this could be an hour long book and be ok, not 9 hours. just a boring story, and it is very dissapointing because it's well narrated and it is the beginning of a series. if you like books where nothing really happens then it's for you.
