Historia
Meet Jack Price and the Seven Demons: Doc, the evil mad scientist presently using Jack for sex; Rex, an explosives expert who doesn’t ask too many questions so long as something goes boom; Volodya, a Ukrainian assassin who may or may not be a cannibal; Charlie, a comic book artist with computer skills and an anarchist bent; Lucille, whose specialty is razor-edged hugs; and Jack’s predecessor, Fred, who doesn’t contribute a whole lot owing to being a severed head on a stick. Finally there’s Jack himself, former coffee magnate turned cocaine dealer turned First Demon.

Great narration, fun and outrageous characters, twisting plot, humor throughout, and a satisfying conclusion!

Historia
Pulled from his world by an experiment gone wrong, Darwin Lloyd is one of the few who can see the Threads - quantum strings that can be manipulated to change or control reality. On an alternate Earth ravaged by war, Darwin is torn between the Qabal and SafeHaven, his only goal to find a way back home and stop the same fate from happening in his time line. Threads - thought of as a gift from the machine he helped his father create - and Threaders are both loved and hated, treated as gods by some and as criminals by others.

Good concept. I just couldn't bring myself to like the protagonist.

Way to much denial and angst. From the beginning to the very end it never stopped.

Historia
Bradbury's Mars is a place of hope, dreams, and metaphor - of crystal pillars and fossil seas - where a fine dust settles on the great, empty cities of a silently destroyed civilization. It is here the invaders have come to despoil and commercialize, to grow and to learn - first a trickle, then a torrent, rushing from a world with no future toward a promise of tomorrow. The Earthman conquers Mars...and then is conquered by it, lulled by dangerous lies of comfort and familiarity, and enchanted by the lingering glamour of an ancient, mysterious native race.

Great narration. So re-readable. I go back to these stories all the time, and it is great to have the audio version.

Well thought out and excelently delivered What if.
Revisado: 08-06-18
Without giving away to much of the work here, Tchaikovsky delves into the thought of what would happen if evolution took a different coarse. And packaged it up in a framework we could understand and conceptualize as well integrate it with a sprawling time frame of thousands of years.
Great story with good believable characters. A bit of Clark and Asimov and one of the better endings I can recall.
