I love Gem. If I ever met a man like that, I’d be so smitten that I would drive him away. But he really is just a figment of a wonderful authors imagination. Sometimes to be as good as detective as she is, Kate acts so stupid. I don’t like that. I need her to be consistently who she is as most of us try to be, not act like her little sister. I love the Cinderella effect. I don’t like that there are no men like Alistair Gem, but that’s not the author’s fault. That’s the men’s fault. They need to read the book to be taught. Great mystery; great romance.. I hope there is another book in the series. Melinda and Jack need each other!! Gem and Kate should get legally married… common law for them doesn’t work for me.

I really enjoyed the description of how Donald Trump raised Donald Trump, Junior and Eric and Ivanka. From Don Jr‘s description here, his dad didn’t just let him be a rich kid who didn’t learn to do anything. He worked and earned his $. He’s just a regular person with a wealthy hard-working father, and I love that. He loves to hunt and fish…2 of my favorite things, as well. I hope they’re all believers headed to heaven, because I wanna meet them someday..

Anne Coulter’s outright sarcasm presented in so many forms-understatement, hyperbole, etc.- keeps me laughing, even though sometimes the idiosy she is describing from people who think they are the foremost thinkers of our day is disgusting on so many levels. The Bible calls it “vain delusion,” and so many people at top levels of media, politics and opinion-making function under that cloud today. If only they could just see the truth that freedom is what conservatives are trying to conserve for law-abiding citizens who are desiring to live under the Constitution of the United States. Coulter understands what is at stake here… she is NOT deluded. I have enjoyed all her books!!

Ramsey's Gold was wonderful . . . exciting . . . profitable to the characters. As a romantic treasure hunt story, it had it all.
The Emerald Buddha was good, but when I read treasure adventures, I expect the characters in the book, especially if I have come to love them for their reality, to get a financial win. The ending of this one was depressing even though Drake and Allie are doing good works with their money from Ramsey's Gold in the end . The Goddess Legacy has the same characters, but with less attractiveness that they had in the first one - that attraction for me seemed to go down with successive stories. Also, the descriptions of the culture the characters are in is so grimy - even more than a rain forest description. I couldn't read it. I skipped around after the 8th chapter to see if there was a win in the end. This trip into fictional "neverland" reminded me of the Raiders movie series . . . I didn't enjoy Temple of Doom either after absolutely loving Raiders of the Lost Ark. Perhaps it's all of the Indian "religious" mysticism and described human filth that killed it for me. I'm glad I got this one "on sale." I'd have hated to waste a $14.95 credit on it.

I have admired this lady for a long time. She has knowledge of the law and uses it logically. I. have many of the same enjoyments that she has only on a much smaller scale, so when she takes up for Donald Trump, I’m with her all the way, in this book, she’s given me much ammunition For my friends who don’t think he’s a good man so they can’t vote, They can’t vote for him, and they can’t vote for a Democrat. They have bitten into the media lie that Donald Trump treats women abominably, but I know that if he did that, Jeanine Pirro would have nothing to do with him. I’m very thankful she’s a believer in Christ because I know one day I will get to meet and visit with her personally and that’s really something to look forward to.

Sometimes when the housework is difficult, I need to be listening to something uplifting, and this book did the trick. Andy Woods is one of my favorite pastors. I had already cried through Abby’s movie, so I was glad to hear her speak. I’ve always thought many of the things that were presented but I couldn’t explain why. Now I can. Thank you

It’s difficult at advanced age to lose your life long spouse and not know who you really are or where to go and not know how to meet quality men, but as Bruce Bryans points out, your dignity, your self-esteem and your self-worth, if you are a quality woman, is not worth striving for a relationship with a man whose soul has been been so hurt and bruised by other women that he can’t open himself up even to ask you for a coffee date to get acquainted. Thank you Mr. Bryans for helping me move on: I was stuck in Wishful thinking.

Would you listen to America the Beautiful again? Why?

Yes, I plan to put it on CD's to listen over and over.

What was one of the most memorable moments of America the Beautiful?

I remember vividly the expression of Dr.Carson's decision not to blame the current generation of white people for the sins of the past generations of slave owners. He admits that perhaps reparations should be made but asked pointedly, "From whom should we get them?" explaining that no one living today had anythng to do with the past deeds of their forebears.

Which character – as performed by Dion Graham – was your favorite?

Since this book is non-fiction, no characers are present. However, Dion Graham is very articulate and easy to understand in his reading, just as Dr. Carson is in his speeches.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

Injustice and prejudice are everywhere but can be overcome. Things in our current government administration which seem irrational to me are just as irrational to all people who seek truth for truth's sake, not for personal gain or fulfillment of revenge in some vendetta against a segment of our population. Dr. Carson was treated to miserable unkindness by his teacher, who should have been very proud of and thankful for him in her class. (I would have been!) But he CHOSE not to let that stop him and moved on in our American Dream society. I admire this man more than I could ever tell him or show anyone. He is unafraid of speaking up for his faith in Christ and his reliance on the Bible. He is a true hero to people of every shade of the skin color rainbow (whether they acknoweldge that fact or not) because he seeks truth and does not tolerate the "shades of gray" that modern progressives want to foist on our population. And as he says, "Let the media try to dig some dirt on him - he as NOTHING to hide!" All the leftist/statists can do is twist his words and foment anger with that twisting. However, he shows in this book that he's a really smart man with a great sense of humor, so he'll be very word-crafting careful in what he says.

Any additional comments?

I wish Dr. Carson well and pray for his strength and courge as God taps him on the shoulder to run for President of the United States in 2016. American needs this kind of common sense rationale.

What made the experience of listening to Breath of Scandal the most enjoyable?

Sandra Brown makes the villains pay in this novel. Everyone who hurts Jade Sperry is repaid with greater but different pain in the end. Experiencing this book through Audible is like reading the Old Testament story of Esther where God's name is never mentioned, but one sees the plan of God unfolding and His guiding hand of justice dealing out righteous retribution to evil.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dillon Burke is my favorite character because of his honor and integrity in his job, with his family, with his grief, and in his patience with Jade to help her overcome a disfunction that was forced upon her in her youth.

Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?

Dillon Burke was best portrayed by Dick Hill because his accent with this character was the most consistent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Audible books are good for my 4+ hours/week windshield time, but with this one, I had to carry my Kindle with me everywhere for a chance to hear the next chapter, then finished it while cleaning the house.

Any additional comments?

Some books are difficult to stay with during traffic, but Sandra Brown's stories are so direct and enticing, that hearing them is almost the same as reading them. Audible books are a faster read, however, because you can listen and drive, or cook, or clean, or garden, or even rest and still be experiencing a great book by a favorite author!

A Conservative "MUST-READ"!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know just how communism is bringing down the United States of America. If we who understand history do not speak up to not get our people (47%) to start thinking about providing for themselves the lifestyle they can afford rather than depending on the government to care for them with other people's money, we will go down the funnel of our own self-destruction just like the Roman republic did, and just like the Romans, we will arrogantly cry, "Why did this happen to us?" These "free-loaders" and "gold bricks" will be the ones crying the loudest, but they will provide a bit of humor for the rest of us to alleviate the suffering a little.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Righteous Indignation?

Chapter 6 gives the history of the communist movement in the U. S., especially the way Alinsky's ideas helped promote collectivism and redistribution of wealth to level the classes and destroy the hope of earning a better life. The outline is very clear and completely researchable for those who are skeptical of Breitbart's veracity.

Which scene was your favorite?

The excitement when Breitbart helped James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles bring ACORN down. The media attacked the tapes, of course, but the dismantling of ACORN stands, to the betterment of freedom in our society.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

He says that the thing that would appeal to him about religion is its search for absolute truth. He wanted the media simply to lay out the facts without bias or attack on either side. Journalism today, however, is all editorial, posing as factual. It is all Op Ed - ed meaning education of those who will not fact check.

Any additional comments?

The unfortunate thing about the people who are alive when history vindicates Andrew Breitbart is that they will be suffering as they never dreamed possible in America. Just because it hasn't happened in our country for decades does not mean it cannot/will not happen again.
