I couldn't finish this book which is rare. Usually I force myself to finish but this was too boring to waste my time.

Too much violence

I have to admit that I was warned by other reviewers about the violence but many said it was worth the read ... it isn't! I love the Prey books and have no idea why he decided to change his usual style and make this one so unpleasant. I forced myself to finish because I feel an obligation to complete books I've started. There have been only a very few that were soooo bad I couldn't make myself continue to the end. It was a semi decent story if you don't mind the brutality but my recommendation is keep looking.

Story line

Good story. Finally a real detective story based on following the detectives doing their work rather than what I've been getting. So many of these books go rambling off into personal stories and have little to do with an actual story line. Enjoyed this but it was too short.

Boring

Boooring! There was no mystery/ detective story... no clues for you to get involved with. I tried but couldn't finish and I'm a stick to it type of person.

Disappointed

I have been reading all the books in this series and have to say I was very disappointed with this one. It didn't have the humor I was used to and the story itself was too intertwined for me.

Fun Read

I've read several of these books and they are all so fun and interesting. I'm a huge dog lover and there's just enough dog story to keep us dog lovers happy but they're not really dog stories. The protagonist's biting humor and self deprivation is wonderful. I can't recommend this book and his others enough.

At first I thought this was a pretty fun book but by half way I was going Really??? It was just too much and I couldn't finish it ... a rarity for me.

Great Read

This is the second David Rosenfelt book I've listened to and it was equally as great as the first one. He tells an interesting story through the wise cracking words of a defense attorney. I was drawn to his books because I love dogs and he weaves them into his story just enough to keep dog lovers happy but doesn't overly dwell on them. I had listened to a number of disappointing books so this was a great discovery for me.

It was humorous while telling a good mystery.

I have had so many bad to mediocre books recently so this was refreshing. I enjoyed it from start to finish, good narrator and good story. The wise cracking kept me smiling all the way through. Loved it.

Pretty Good

I saw others complaining about narrator but I found nothing wrong there. Story was interesting though not the best I've ever listened to. It kept my interest which is better than most of the books I've bought recently. In general I recommend it.
