Historia
The butterflies pick up their pace. I like that Andy isn’t trying to be coy. Like, he’s making it pretty clear that he’s into me. And I’m into that. Emma Bishop is ready for a fresh start. She's in high school now, after all, so there's no room for last year’s drama to follow her. She's older and wiser, more confident, and determined to make this her best year yet. In what might be the most exciting development of her life, Emma finally has a boyfriend. Andy is cute and nice and really likes her– what could go wrong? As it turns out, everything.

Takes me back to high school!
Revisado: 04-23-25
This was such a great read/listen! I love how the author made me feel like I was in high school again. It was so easy for me to imagine myself as Emma and bring back all the feelings I had in high school. Not only is the nostalgia real, but I know these feelings are relevant to this day as well. Rebecca is a great and relatable writer, and I can’t wait for her next book in the series! Highly recommend for mothers and young girls!

Good but hard to follow
Revisado: 11-01-23
I really enjoyed the writing and narration, however there were so many characters that it made it hard to follow. I’m still confused about some of it but would def listen again to clear it up. I like the story and wish it could have been even longer. Overall I do recommend the book - just pay attention!

Why we think it’s a great listen: Never before has an author’s narration of his fiction been so important to fully grasping the book’s impact and global implications. Taking us from Afghanistan in the final days of its monarchy to the present, The Kite Runner is the unforgettable story of the friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul. Their intertwined lives, and their fates, reflect the eventual tragedy of the world around them.

Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors. I liked this story but found myself getting irritated with Morgan. Her character didn’t sit well with me for some reason. I loved the narrators. Their voices are perfect!

I feel that this should have been better and could have been longer. I didn’t dislike it at all, but I was hoping for more depth. It’s an easy listen and kept my attention…maybe I was too excited based on its popularity. Many people love it so I do recommend everyone interested to give it a go!

Recommend!
Revisado: 07-01-23
I love Kristin Hannah’s books. I will listen to and read all of them! This was not my favorite but still very much enjoyed. The story was fairly predictable despite twists but overall recommend this title! I wasn’t a big fan of the narrator giving Italians Russian accents…but that’s neither here nor there.

Luckily, her best friends Ruby and Cher are there to pull off fun sleepovers, try new makeup trends, deal with bullies, and survive embarrassing interactions with cute boys.

Revisado: 05-22-23
I love this story. It’s so relatable, even as a woman in her mid-30s. We have all at one time been Emma - awkward, trying to figure out our own personalities while maintaining friendships and crushes, self-conscious, etc. I also really love when authors tell their stories themselves. I can’t wait to read more from Rebecca!

Entertaining
Revisado: 09-30-22
This book is not my favorite, but it was entertaining. Just when I thought I figured it out, there was a twist, and then another, and another. There is a LOT of sex here, so beware if you’re not into books with sex scenes. In regards to other readers’ comments, the story isn’t too believable, but it’s a story so doesn’t have to be. The narration was okay but definitely had Siri/Alexa vibes at times. I would recommend for an easy and exciting listen.

Somewhat predictable and familiar
Revisado: 08-24-22
I have the same opinion as many others here. I am a crime junkie and was so excited for this book. I immediately thought of JBR and could NOT get that out of my head for about the first half of the book. It was so distracting. Aside from that, I thought this was really entertaining and did fall for some of the “twists and turns.” I don’t like the abruptness of the ending but also appreciate when an author leaves it up to the reader. The epilogue answered a lot of questions, which was so appreciated. I would have given the story 4 stars if it wasn’t so much like JBR’s. The narration bothered me a little bit but I didn’t hate it. I do hope Ashley writes another book and I would read it. 3.7 stars
