Wow, as always an amazing novel. King is phenominal narrarating this masterpiece of modern fiction. The end interview is very good as well. If you have yet to experience Bag of Bones you must, it is very, VERY good.

Historia
When Dr. Louis Creed takes a new job and moves his family to the idyllic, rural town of Ludlow, Maine, this new beginning seems too good to be true. Yet despite Ludlow's tranquility, there's an undercurrent of danger that lingers...like the graveyard in the woods near the Creeds' home, where generations of children have buried their beloved pets.

Classic Story Spun Anew
Revisado: 04-06-18
Wow. One of my favorite stories ever retold in a performance that left me on the edge of my seat like I had never read it before. The story has always held such a high place in my heart due to the hard to discuss subject matter that I was, truth be told, hesitant when I first saw it for preorder. I took the leap though and am so happy I did. The performance was amazing and spun a new tale that enveloped me like a dark, scary cloud.
One of Kings best imo. With The performer one of audibles as well.

Historia
Since his wife died, Ralph Roberts has been having trouble sleeping. Each night he wakes up a bit earlier until he's barely sleeping at all. During his late-night walks, he observes some strange things going on in Derry, Maine. He sees colored ribbons streaming from people's heads, two strange little men wandering around town after dark, and more. He begins to suspect that these visions are something more than hallucinations brought on by lack of sleep.

Amazing and Gripping
Revisado: 03-21-18
wow, start to finish this was incredible. something that Stephen king has always done better then most authors is his categorization. From Ralph to Atripose each character holds such significance and weight it's astounding. The way he made a 70 year old character so heroic and daring just makes me smile. it never dragged for me. the story kept me enthralled and held fast.
The performance was spot on. The performer has great skill and captivated me. each emotion and character just blossomed.
My only complaint is the music. Horribly edited in. On a couple occasions it comes on so suddenly and so far from the chapter end you have to struggle to hear what's said. I truly hope they don't do that again cause it did retract some polish for sure. it took from the performer like Atripose takes from his victims and left me frustrated and angry like Ralph.

long ass night.....
Revisado: 03-04-18
well.... some serious likeness to IT and all over the place. I felt the performance was not well done and the performer was overly bland, with no emotion in his voice. it took me weeks to finish it.
let's start with story. This book tries (hard) to be a Stephen King epic but falls short. The characters are forgettable except for a couple of the kids. The monster is confusing and never really distinguishable. I feel like it could have been much better. This is my first Dan Simmons book and I will probably try another one before I write him off as unoriginal.
The performer was not that good. he was bland and every voice other then the redneck girl were the same. If he would have had emotion it would have made it better.

a master storyteller
Revisado: 03-03-18
epic story with suspense lining every passage. This whole story was paced so well it shocked me. The characters were well built and made me feel drawn to them. The action had me on the edge of my seat. The private eyes had such a well built relationship it made me feel that much more attached to their story and progress with Frank.
a must read in my opinion. Just really well written.

Historia
“Long live the King” hailed Entertainment Weekly upon publication of Stephen King’s On Writing. Part memoir, part master class by one of the bestselling authors of all time, this superb volume is a revealing and practical view of the writer’s craft, comprising the basic tools of the trade every writer must have. King’s advice is grounded in his vivid memories from childhood through his emergence as a writer, from his struggling early career to his widely reported, near-fatal accident in 1999—and how the inextricable link between writing and living spurred his recovery.

phenominal. One part short bio and a couple parts tools for the craft. excellent pacing and humility throughout. absolutely love his ode to great literature and factual information. applicable tasks and hilarious anecdotes. pay close attention, definitely a book I will be turning back to all the time to hone my writing.
even if you don't write I recommend reading this, it will help with why that book was so good or why you loath that author.... good food for thought.
The narraration is amazing. his performance is exactly what this needed.

Historia
Located off a desolate stretch of Interstate 50, Desperation, Nevada, has few connections with the rest of the world. It is a place, though, where the seams between worlds are thin. And it is a place where several travelers are abducted by Collie Entragian, the maniacal police officer of Desperation. Entragian uses various ploys for the abductions, from an arrest for drug possession to "rescuing" a family from a nonexistent gunman.

first off...
amazing story. brutal, heart wrenching, and strangely a spiritual journey. absolutely amazing premise, was disturbing to the point it was hard to listen to at times. I actually had to jump to another book on occasions due to the disturbing material.
narration....
it was good to hear my favorite authors read his work.... but I kinda wished a professional read it as wired as that sounds. STILL a very good performance just some timing issues tbh.
it's amazing. get it you won't be disappointed

Historia
All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

figured out the mystery before half of the nook was done. decent story but the performer was dry and off beat for me. not my style of performance and Straubs very fragmented but still enjoyable.
