Historia
In the vibrant city-state of Castellane, the richest of nobles and the most debauched of criminals have one thing in common: the constant search for wealth, power, and the next hedonistic thrill. Kel is an orphan, stolen from the life he knew to become the Sword Catcher—the body double of a royal heir, Prince Conor Aurelian. He has been raised alongside the prince, trained in every aspect of combat and statecraft. He and Conor are as close as brothers, but Kel knows that his destiny is to die for Conor. No other future is possible.

It’s just the beginning… meh
Revisado: 12-07-23
I can understand this book is just the beginning of a series, but I found it slow. I can see where it’s going and I will read the next one to feed my curiosity but it sure if I’ll continue after.

Historia
They are icons of the literary world whose soaring works have been discussed and analyzed in countless classrooms, homes, and pubs. Yet for most listeners, the living, breathing human beings behind the classics have remained unknown - until now. In this utterly captivating audiobook, Dr. Elliot Engel, a leading authority on the lives of great authors, illuminates the fascinating and flawed members of literature's elite. In lieu of stuffy biographical sketches, Engel provides fascinating anecdotes.

Very entertaining
Revisado: 04-12-23
I really liked the narrative style of the biographies, it was light, entertaining and with a touch of humor. I learned a lot of details I didn’t know of.

Smooth
Revisado: 02-23-23
Smooth, that’s how I would describe it. The story is so well paced that you do not realize you’re traveling in time. The characters are so well written you would think they’re real. I do see a Catherine Hepburn or a Cary Grant, James Dean crossing the paths of Evelyn Hugo and Harry. The performance was excellent.
I really enjoyed this book :).
