Historia
In 2059, two vastly different groups of people portrayed by the compelling trio of Brendan Fraser (Academy Award winner), Luke Kirby (Emmy Award winner), and Vanessa Sears (Dora Award winner) undergo cryonic suspension. While their bodies are frozen, their minds, still active and awake, are uploaded into a massive quantum computer. The first group are all astronauts, about to leave Earth on a one-way interstellar colonization mission. The second group consists of convicted murderers and volunteers who elect to serve their sentences in a virtual-reality prison.

entering story, better without the leftist woke...
Revisado: 12-05-23
the leftist/woke Agenda about the vaccine and the gender
Conversation could have been left out and it would've still been a good story. There is a clear obvious bend with the author of this book.
Would have been much better without that. But all and all it was and entertaining performance.

Historia
"Heart of Darkness" is a novella written by Joseph Conrad. It is widely regarded as a significant work of English literature and part of the Western canon. The story tells of Charles Marlow, an Englishman who took a foreign assignment from a Belgian trading company as a ferry-boat captain in Africa. "Heart of Darkness" exposes the myth behind colonization while exploring the three levels of darkness that the protagonist, Marlow, encounters--the darkness of the Congo wilderness, the darkness of the European's cruel treatment of the natives, and the unfathomable darkness within every human being for committing heinous acts of evil.

I think the author is confused
Revisado: 01-23-22
It would seem they are trying to correlate conservatism and fascism. When in fact if you look at things today you will see the Democrat party is tying ties with corporations. It would seem the left is in bed with corporations not the reverse. Granted both parties have a problem with this being corrupt. Is somehow conservatives equal racists is racist and democrats or lis democrats or liberals equal rights for everyone and free things for everyone. If there are 0 free lunches. And there are 0 politicians who are not corrupt in some way.

Before The Perfect Storm, before In the Heart of the Sea, Steven Callahan's Adrift chronicled one of the most astounding voyages of the century and one of the great sea adventures of all time. In some ways the model for the new wave of adventure books, Adrift is now an undeniable seafaring classic, a riveting firsthand account by the only man known to have survived for more than a month alone at sea, fighting for his life in an inflatable raft after his small sloop capsized.

it is nice when an author reads his own book. His narration was good, comma not great, But definitely adds to the story being that it was his tail of survival. It is a well Written book.

Historia
Boisterous, ribald, and ultimately shattering, Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has left an indelible mark on the literature of our time. Turning conventional notions of sanity and insanity on their heads, the novel tells the unforgettable story of a mental ward and its inhabitants, especially tyrannical Big Nurse Ratched and Randle Patrick McMurphy, the brawling, fun-loving new inmate who resolves to oppose her.

this is funny in a twisted way. The narrator has a sarcastic sounding voice that goes well with this book. Since the humour of the author comes out in such a smart yet, Trying to sound unintelligent way.

Historia
One of the world’s greatest novelists, Leo Tolstoy was also the author of a number of superb short stories, one of his best known being “The Kreutzer Sonata.” This macabre story involves the murder of a wife by her husband. It is a penetrating study of jealousy as well as a piercing complaint about the way in which society educates men and women in matters of sex - a serious condemnation of the mores and attitudes of the wealthy, educated class.
