Dang son, that was awesome. With about 10 chapters left in the book I realized I’d be neglecting work, sleep, and my family until it was done. Heck of a story, the characters are amazing and the end of the book was 10/10 I can not wait for the next installment!

Historia
Many years ago, Sir Aelfric and his nine companions saved the world, seizing the Dark Lord's cursed weapons, along with his dread city of Necrad. That was the easy part. Now, when Aelfric—keeper of the cursed sword Spellbreaker—learns of a new and terrifying threat, he seeks the nine heroes once again. But they are wandering adventurers no longer. Yesterday's eager heroes are today's weary leaders—and some have turned to the darkness, becoming monsters themselves. If there's one thing Aelfric knows, it's slaying monsters. Even if they used to be his friends.

A fantastic first
Revisado: 06-24-23
What happens after the quest is won? This was the first time I have seen an author go down this road, and seeing the great heroes years after their fabled victory was so cool to read. As an aging mortal myself I loved that the story followed an older hero coming to grips with his mortality and age, absolutely felt some sympathy pain in the knees a few times. This is an instant classic for me- absolutely perfect I’m every sense I was so happy reading this. The world building, character development, twists and turns absolutely kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Bad a$$ follow up
Revisado: 01-16-23
This is a fantastic follow up to the Bladed Faith. I love how unique this story is, the characters, settings, it’s all a bit refreshing when fantasy novels can all kinda follow the same formula. Loved it

Historia
A vibrant and powerful epic set against an alternate Bronze Age, this tale of gods, men and monsters, conspiracy and war, is a rich, compelling and original tale from a master of the historical and fantasy genres. The people caught up in toils of the gods are merely trying to survive. Victims of vicious whims, trapped by their circumstances or pushed beyond what the mortal frame can bear, a handful of god-touched mortals—a scribe, a warlord, a dancer and a child - are about to be brought together in a conspiracy of their own.

That was such an awesome book, the narrator was great. There is so much I want to say about the book but don’t see how I couldn’t spoil it. I can say it was absolutely bat shit crazy in a great way. I love how original the pantheon is, and the battle scenes are probably the best I have ever read. 10/10

Damn… that was intense. I don’t know that I have felt that many emotions through the course of a book as I just did finishing this one. Every aspect of the story is perfectly written. Dragons, war, mages, demons are all fairly well represented in the fantasy genre but this was unique and fantastic. 100% perfection “chef kiss”

Well another Tom Swan adventure in the bag and I can’t wait for the next! This is such a wonderful series and I love just how much all of the principle characters have grown since the beginning. Luckily Swan will have at least 6 years until the next papal election, plenty of time for a good fight.
