An Unexpected Ride!

As usual, Matt has crafted a fantastic adventure, threading together disparate elements into a single well woven story. Jack is a favorite character and his discoveries around the world are a fantastic tapestry of the thrills inherent in this genre. I genuinely appreciate the use of historical events, but more so the care with which they are utilized. I will admit, however, that I miss seeing Bull.

The narrator as always brings life to these characters and settings. He, to me, IS Jack! But he also evokes unique mental images of every character. In all, this is a wonderfully crafted story .

I would have liked to have seen scenes from the perspective of Polo’s men, perhaps a preamble setting up the tale. Nonetheless a great take on that particular mystery.

And Die Hard is most definitely a Christmas story ;)

I absolutely love this series and these characters. Perhaps I identify the most with Tucker, living dogs and knowing the heartbreaking loss that inevitably comes with that tight bond.

The setting is also fantastic, one that tends to be overlooked and ignored by the literary world, but which holds a deep and abiding fascination, with cultures that stretch back to the beginning of humanity itself.

And while it’s likely far too late to offer a name for the new puppy, I will still suggest Nikki, a German shepherd which we once had, but had to give up because of her innate hostility towards strangers. The last I heard, she was a fantastic drug sniffing police dog in Texas, living a wonderful life that we could never have given her.

Thank you for this wonderful story, as always narrated by the Outstanding Mr Baskous. He has given life to these people that so many have come to care about.

This was a fantastic and rollicking good read! I absolutely adore the Flynn Family, and I can’t wait to hear what mischief they get into next! The mix of down to earth adventures with the supernatural brought to mind a modern Indiana story, mixed with the most harrowing coming of age story I’ve read in a long time. See ya later, Chuck, and looking forward to it!

I can’t say enough about the series or the performer. I haven’t been this engaged in ages. The story alone kept me riveted, but the narration was absolutely top notch. I felt like I was watching the story, not listening to it!

I will always love this series. The tie in to Subterranean was fantastic. But as always, the growth of the characters are the high point. They are never static but always growing. That’s Outstanding.

What an ending

Not many endings leave me with my mouth open. This one certainly did . This is a fantastic trilogy and I can only hope further volumes are forthcoming . The level of world building in these volumes is just amazing.
