Historia
Half a century after the Doomsday Battle, the uneasy balance of Dark Forest Deterrence keeps the Trisolaran invaders at bay. Earth enjoys unprecedented prosperity due to the infusion of Trisolaran knowledge. With human science advancing daily and the Trisolarans adopting Earth culture, it seems that the two civilizations will soon be able to coexist peacefully as equals, without the terrible threat of mutually assured annihilation. But the peace has also made humanity complacent.

Better than classic SciFi.
Revisado: 03-20-22
Beats Asimov, Lem and a few others. Though this is heavily fantastical novel, it delivers that horror show feeling.
The book even includes a few solutions to the problem of nihilism which can save lives in the real world.

Can’t do it…
Revisado: 02-10-22
Sorry but this book is just so dry and boring I dropped and returned it to Audible with 18hours left to go : (
Ive heard amazing synopsis of the book and its concepts and ideas but the delivery is just way too obtuse for me to get into it.
Its a space-faring sci-fi novel with AI, future intelligences invading the present, 4th dimentuonal travel and a shocking, dystopian antagonist but the book opens up with following a catholic priest discovering mentally handicapped tribal people in a jungle and talks about that instead…

Really good book but naration
Revisado: 09-05-16
What made the experience of listening to Lord of All Things the most enjoyable?
The story
What did you like best about this story?
The subject matter and execution of the plot.
What didn’t you like about Nick Podehl’s performance?
When you tried to imitate a female voice... it was vile. Don't do it again. Your voice got so nasal and cheesy and so off-putting that I only bared it only to get through, and rejoiced greatly when you moved on to the male voice-acting. If you must narrate females gain, try to do it more within your normal range.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, female-wannabe voice acting made me want to turn off the book extremely hard. Otherwise the book was quite thrilling.
Any additional comments?
Great ideas, terrible narration at times.

Revisado: 09-05-16
Any additional comments?
This book was inspiring and awesome... but... It said nothing of where those people are today - Censorship, Estabishment, Power - was this the end goal in mind? Because that is where Facebook and Twitter is at right now. I doubt it was where they wanted to go, but with power and money come... Those with more power and money, and sellouts and corruption happen.

Tirade on Caffeine
Revisado: 09-05-16
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Sure.
Has The Truth about Caffeine turned you off from other books in this genre?
No.
Could you see The Truth about Caffeine being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Yes, a 45 minute documentary would suffice for this book. That would actually be brilliant presentation instead of the droning book.
Any additional comments?
This was not a study, or a story, or even a documentary - It is a droning tirade on caffeine - 100% hell bent on bitching about how horrible this drug is. I just couldn't finish this production because every sentence was like the last. Ok, I get the point, caffeine ba-aad no caffeine goo-ood. Seriously...Just read this book, it is quite something else.
You know what? When you hear nothing but absolute negatives, constant black vs. white, 100% no deviation for a couple of hours - you start questioning the whole premise. This is somebody's agenda, and it is absolutely shocking to see the face of the absoluteness so pervasive. Caffeine will literally kill you. Don't have a single sip. Or you will surely die. Or get acne. Or cancer. Or maybe just a migrane. I tried it - it was not worth it. But then again I'm not binging on coffee every day. When I laid coffeine off, I was just limiting myself in certain situations, and in others I've seen no difference but then again i'm still young.
Moderation is not bad - But absolutes can be absolutely good, or absolutely bad.

In his book Just Listen, Mark Goulston shared his best-selling formula for getting through to the resistant people in your life. Now he brings his communication magic to the most difficult group of all - the downright irrational.

Really just a veiled advertisement.
Revisado: 11-09-15
It was an awesome book right until the end when you're ready for the big reveal, the gist of it all, the way you can make everything Bruce swears is possible, happen.
It is then that you find out that the book is not a manual, or an instruction set on how to achieve all the wonders described, but an advertisement for psych-K and the others.
I thought that advertisements were always free. Turns out that not in this case. I paid my hard earned money to in the end be redirected towards the solution elsewhere. sadly this is the second book from Bruce Lipton that uses the exact same scheme, apart from being a slight update. His website acts very similarly, pay up to get referral links to energy psychology businesses.
Here's the kicker: check out Bruce's interview with Tom Campbell up on youtube and in 2 hours you will learn everything essential to this books for free.
Having said that, I do believe that Bruce deserves to be paid well for the information he puts out there, but it is info that he claims to be life changing, but at the end he does not give you the tools, the how-to which was supposed to be the whole point altogether.
it was a good book nonetheless.

videos worked better for me.
Revisado: 01-29-15
Tom's TOE is in my opinion much easier to navigate through his videos on youtube. I struggled to find any novel or more valuable information in the audio books over the youtube lectures.
This is a personal preference, and may or may not apply to you.
