Josie walks into their warehouse and both men are instantly focus on her because their wolves recognize Josie as their mate. Josie sees a spider in the warehouse and runs. Both men go after her to talk her into taking the job. But there is something sinister in the city and it is stalking Josie.

The Alien and the Earthling

Alien Mate 3 by Eve Langlais finds Reg being awarded the highest honour for a warrior, the chance to mate. But to be awarded a mate one must leave space and settle on the home planet of Xamia. Reg doesn't to give up space and being free to travel. As much as he wants to mate he tells the Oracle he refuses the honour. The Oracle tells him, that since he doesn't want a mate he has a mission to save an Earthling who is in the path of an asteroid and send him on his way.

Penny is on a one person space lab studying the effects of loneliness on an astronaut when the space center tells her she has 5 minutes to make her peace and say goodbye to her family before her vessel is hit by an asteroid. She has no family to say goodbye and doesn't want a scream to be her last words so she hangs up on the space center. That's when Reg appears to save her.

Once on Reg's ship Penny decides that since she was written off by Earth, she may as well go with Reg to explore space to quell her own curiosity. And let the games begin.

Elvis is on the case

The Fast and the Furriest is the newest offering of the Second Chance Cat Mystery series by Sofie Ryan. Sarah and Elvis and the Angles come together to make their own investigation into the death of a young woman, Erin, comes to Sarah's repurpose shop Second Chance looking for Mac McKenzie. Mac works with Sarah at the shop but is out on the water for the day as part of a sailing crew. Erin leaves a message for Mac and will stay in town until she can speak with Mac. Later that evening Erin is found murdered and Mac is the prime suspect.

The Angels; Mr P has a private investigator license and is the world's oldest computer hacker, and Liz, Rose, and Charlotte are his Angels and partners in 'crime' as they investigate and get in the way of the authorities as they find clues and the culprit. Nick is Charlotte's son and the local medical examiner; he and Sarah have been friends for years.

Until now Mac has kept his past a mystery, speaking very little about his background and even less about his family. Secrets are coming to light and the Angles are in the middle of the action.

Marguerite Gavin was spot on with the action and dialogue painting a picture of the action that draws one into the story.

Two brothers, two lives, and magical cats to boot

A Tale of Two Kitties is the newest book in the Magical Cats series. Leo James has returned to Mayville Heights to visit his son, Simon, and his granddaughter, Mia. Also returning to town is Victor James, Leo's brother, but his visit is less welcomed. Victor says he is returning because he is dying of cancer and wants one last chance to see his brother and make amends for having an affair with Leo's wife, Meredith, and stealing her away. Kathleen meets Victor on a walk and has her questions about Victor and his motives, something just isn't right with him. A murder and little things about the evidence and the magical cats, Owen and Hercules, are on the case. There are new questions about why Meredith left town with Victor and how she died in a one car crash. Who is the killer and how can Kathleen, Owen and Hercules prove it? Not everything is as it seems. As the questions are being answered, who is going to save Kathleen and Mia when the killer decides to prevent Kathleen from solving the mystery.

A Tangled Web of lies

Telling Tails is another great Second Chance Cat Mystery. Rose Jackson decides to make a delivery by herself and witnesses what she thinks is the aftermath of a murder. She says she saw the body of Jeff Cameron, a customer of the shop, being dragged by his wife just before she is knocked out whilst standing on the steps watching the scene. She is found down the road from the house, disoriented and unsteady. Sarah and the gang rally to her side at hospital and Rose is none too happy with any of them when she is doubted. The thing is, no one can prove she didn't see it, and no one can prove she did see it. To add insult to injury, the doctor say she may have had a small stroke. It causes friction between Sarah and Nick; but when Sarah finds what looks like a needle mark on Rose's neck Nick agrees to take a blood sample to run for possible drugs. The Angels are on the case looking for reasons Jeff Cameron to possibly be murdered, especially by his wife, the possibility of him cleaning out the couple's bank accounts and running away with a lover, and who may have assaulted Rose for looking into the house. The gang uses all their resources and then some to find the answers. And Elvis uses his unique talent to guide the Angels and Sarah.
